Feeling stressed - trying to get DVC rental

I always tend to stress out about these kinds of things. I"ve been going through David's to try to secure a DVC rental for early May 2013. It's been almost a week - there was availability at our choice resort, during our window. Unfortunately, he's having a hard time finding someone with the necessary points to fill our ressie (we are looking for a 2 bedroom suite for a week)

Gah! I really really really hope this works out. I'm worried that by the time he can find someone with the necessary points, there won't be availability since we are now in the 7 month window.

What about doing a split stay with one week at two different resorts? It would be like 2 different trips? Some folks don't like to switch, but we actually like it. Also, couldn't he book you in one week increments at the same resort, but from different owners? Disney can tie the two reservations together, and although it's not guaranteed, they will try to keep you in the same room. Best of luck and hope pixie dust comes your way.

Ya - we might consider something like that.

There actually is availability at VWL - but he can't find the points to service us just yet. I'm looking at renting privately too.

Did you say you wanted 2 weeks in a 2bdr at VWL in early May? That looks like it comes out to be about 636 points. That is alot of points to find from just one person. I just rented some of my BCV pts to Davids I said I would rent 115 and my max is 180. They took 179 for a reservation at BLT. It might be kinda hard to find one person to do the entire 2 weeks. Have you asked them?

Agree with this. We will be renting 3 1BR villas for a stay in October 2014, and know that we'll likely have to use 3 different DVC owners. Getting that many points from one user is unlikely.

Nope! It was a weird typo Just 1 week! And I've been able to work something out privately!!!!! YAY!!!!!!

We're all booked. I am so excited I can hardly wait.
