Feeling Sad - Ear Problems

Hi all,

Feeling sad right now...leave for Disney in 11 days but having some health issues with my left ear. Have had ringing and a clogged feeling in ear for weeks....have been to docs got antibiotics steroids but nothing seems to be working. I feel like I am ruining this upcoming trip for my wife and daughter because I am feeling really down right now and was looking forward to this trip. I just can't snap out of this and I am getting scared abt why my ear is not clearing up. I have another appt scheduled for this wed. but nothing seems to be working so I am not holding great hope for that visit. Anyone ever have this clogging of their ears and if so for how long??? Any advice?

Sorry you are having these problems with your ear, it can be so frustrating trying to get these things sorted out.

My son often gets clogged ears and the doctor drains the wax but I guess that is not your problem as I imagine the doctor has been looking in your ears.
Are you feeling dizzy?

I can relate to how you are feeling, we all look forward to our holidays and it can be so disappointing to be unwell on Vacation.
Hopefully you can get the problem sorted before you head to Disney

Thanks Quasar....yeah they looked no wax. They are telling me maybe TMJ but I am not sure they are confident in that diagnosis. I am a little dizzy but not much. My main complaints are a fullness in my ear like clogged up and a ringing in my ears. They did a hearing check and they said that was normal. So not sure ....just scary right now for me and with trip coming up I am feeling down. Think I am putting myself in a depression over this and bringing my families excitement down which is making me feel worse.

I knew the 'wax answer' would have been too easy but it is good that you have not lost any hearing. The ringing and clogged feeling must be very annoying especially when you don't know what it is.

Has your doctor referred you to an ENT specialist?
Easier said than done but hang in there and I hope you doctor can get everything resolved before your trip.
