Hi there,

My husband and I are spending 7 days at WDW in November (plus an extra night attending the Mickey's Christmas Party! :santa:) and I'm trying to figure out our dining plan of attack. We've decided to do only one or two table service/nicer meals and the rest we'll just kind of wing it and eat what we feel like when we feel like it. With so many options I'm having the hardest time deciding where we should try to get ADRs for our one or two nice meals. (I want to go to Be Our Guest, but am not finding any openings... :() Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

Keep trying someone will cancel, and about a week before you go try a lot people double book and start canceling a week before, and there's a thread on this site that people let you know that the are dropping an Adrian . And you can coordinate it with them , keep trying you will get it.

Can you tell us what type of food you like, which parks you are visiting and where you are staying? Hopefully we can steer you in the right direction!

We like ALL kinds of food. Neither of us is picky and we love trying new things. Most of the time we'll be staying with my mother-in-law who lives about 10 minutes from the park, but we are going to do 2 nights at the Port Orleans - Riverside. We'll be visiting all of the parks - MK & Epcot twice - and we have a park hopper.

I was firm when we started to plan our upcoming October trip: we'll only do a couple ADRs. Of course, now we have eight booked . . .

I love Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios for a "nicer" meal, plus the counter service at that park is pretty bad.

I would keep trying for BOG. If you're a Beauty and the Beast fan, it's a must do!

There are also a lot of nice restaurants at the resorts.

If you want to travel to Animal Kingdom Lodge, I HIGHLY suggest Jiko. It's usually not hard to get a reservation and the food is so good...the African favors are so unique, stuff you would never ever try anywhere else. Great atmosphere and wine list too!

I'd say, since you are right on the "river" while at Port Orleans, have an early park day, freshen up back at your resort, then take the boat over to Disney Springs and try out one of those restaurants. Then the nice boat ride back to POR. Heavenly! (We are trying Frontera Cocina for our TS at Disney Springs).

I remember going to the Brown Derby as a kid, so that could be fun and nostalgic! :)

Great tip! Thank you!

I've heard good things about Jiko! :) May have to check it out. It definitely seems unique which is fuN!

You can also try some of the restaurants at the resorts, like Olivia's at OKW, the Wave at Contemporary, GFCafe at GF, Turf Club at SSR. Sometimes it's a bit easier to get those ADRs than the ones in the parks.
