Going for our first trip to WDW...SOON    Sept 29 - Oct 13. We have 10 day MYW, with Hopper plan, but as we are staying 14 nights, we have the eating plan for that many nights.

Everywhere I look it says to book your dinners early, get the preferred seating, etc. GREAT, smart, But how can I do that when I don't know where we will be from day to day :confused3 :confused3 . We have a semi itinerary set up, but, it is more of when we go here, we will do this, along those lines. I have a few *events* set up:

  • [* ]Cirque du Soliel, on the first night
[* :Pinkbounc ]dinner the first night at Puck's place before the show
[* :cheer2: ]MNSSHP booked for the 6th, but no dinner plans yet?
[* :wizard: ]Eat to the Beat on the 8th, followed by the festival of the Senses

I feel like I am missing things, and I need others input. Please, what are your suggestions? Thanks so much!!

Well, make a calendar, base it on "best Days" "emh" or whatever works for you...

Then start penciling in 'guesstamates" It sounds like there are those having success at some less popular places... Resort places, I'm thinking Trail's End, Concourse Steakhouse, maybe even your 2TS places will help you... I personally would be upset with me if I didnt use all my TS credits!!

Also, if you are staying onsite, the best tip I've read is to call from your room Disney Dining (a one touch button from what I've read) and then ask for availability...

I felt the same way and since most of our ADR (advance dining reservations) are for areas closest to MK I just made them for dinner. Most are around 7:30pm. So if we are at Epcot we'll just grab whatever transportation we can to get to our restaurant. With the free dining program you need to make these ADRs otherwise you will have a hard time getting a table (if at all). Check out menus on Allearsnet.com to help you plan. There a few restaurants that don't take ADRs but I think there will be lines for these for those that can't otherwise get TS.

have Fun!

We were there last week and found that making the ADR's just a day or two in advance was working fine.

If you have any days were you know which park you will be at, then make an ADR for dinner somewhere in that park. MK is easy because there are sooo many great restaurants in and near it. Just a quick ride on the monrail to get to alot them. You do have to have a basic idea of where you will be that day though. ADR's can be easily canceled. So do not worry about making the wrong decision or changing your mind even if it is that same day of your ADR. But it is better to have some kind of schedule and ADR's to get the most out of your dining plan.
