Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

The Hulk sounds amazingly fun. Oh gosh I wish I could just ride a roller coaster right now. That Spiderman... hmmm... Spiderman is my absolute favorite super hero (not from the cartoons, but from the movies, MMMM love him) but I think I would feel very awkward posing with him!
Wait, is that Goblin like the Green Goblin from Spiderman? Maybe they made him look different in the movie... very interesting! Do those characters talk?
I wonder where you ventured to next!

I think all the characters and rides were based off of the tv shows/comics rather than the movies and that is why they look different. I am no expert though, maybe Alek or Erich will chime in and answer this one.

ETA: Just looked it up on wikipedia. That is definitely how he looks in the comics so they changed things up for the movies. Here is the link.

Okay Lessa could I handle Spiderman???? !!Loved the latest update !!This info is all being stored for next year !!!!

Yep, you could definitely handle Spider-Man. It is just a motion simulator ride. :thumbsup2

Yup, I did! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I knew it!! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Glad you guys made it on the hulk! The day we went to IOA we almost missed it because it was having technical problems, and then when it did open, the line was insane. We waited it out and it was totally worth it! :thumbsup2

I also got dragged on Dr. Doom's free fall by DH and I nearly had a heart attack! I can handle free falls like ToT, where you are in an enclosed box, but I DO NOT like the type with dangling legs! I'm getting wussier in my old age! ;)

Oh and count me in as another Big Bad Wolf fan! I used to love it when they would say "enjoy traveling at the speed of fright" before you got on! Coasters with tag lines (like the wildest ride in the wilderness) are just the best! :)

Sucks that you had to wait but it is an awesome coaster so definitely worth it!

 Yeah, I'm not sure if I would be a fan either, the only free fall ride I have ever been on is Tower of Terror.

We are forming quite the club! I love riding it in the dark with the wolf howling all around you. FUN!

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Been really busy since I came back from my quickie trip! Too far behind to get ALL caught up, but I did read a few of your latest updates. Really enjoyed the US reports. Haven't been there in years and it has really changed. The boys are wanting us to go there on our next trip to Orlando, so we might be able to put all your input and insight to use.

Ooooooohhh, Rosie meant THE RIDE....... :confused3

I thought she was about to take her pole/lap dancing to a new level!!! :rolleyes1

May 17th continued

Before Alek and Erich made their way back into the queue for Spider-Man Alek grabbed a character photo with Green Goblin.

Mom and I grabbed a seat on the curb and relaxed while we waited for the boys. I spent the time taking pictures. I spotted a few things out of place. ;)

While Alek and Erich were gone a bunch of characters came out so I took pictures of them and I also snapped some shots of the park scenery.

Is this Doctor Doom?

The costumes for the characters in this section of the park are awesome, so well done. :lmao:

Alek and Erich came out soon after the characters drove in. Erich ended up really liking Spider-Man as well, this ride receives two thumbs up from all three of us. When Alek and Erich saw the characters they just had to get pictures with them, since they looked so "amazing". ;)

Forgive me if I get the character names wrong.

Rogue from X-Men

The traditional butt shot, those are some high quality costumes!

After the character shots we started to make our way out of Super Hero Island.

See the Ben and Jerry's behind this guy? Well don't be fooled, it is not a real Ben Jerry's, they only served soft serve!

Super Hero Island was fun, we only did two out of the four rides (skipped the free fall and "tea cups"). The two rides we did go on though were the headliners and they were awesome! Even if you aren't into the Super Hero theme you should check this area out as the rides are a blast!

Next up was Toon Lagoon!

On Super Hero Island? Storm Force Accelerators which is basically a tea cup ride and Spider-Man. The Hulk is an intense coaster so not sure if you would go for that and same for Dr. Doom, which is a free fall ride.

Looks like you had a good time at IOA. The Super Hero area is pretty well themed but because I pretty much know nothing about those characters :rolleyes1 I don't think I appreciated it as much as others.

Yeah, I don't really know much about them either. I have seen the recent X-Men and Spider-Man movies but that is the extent of my familiarity.

i was thinking that the costumes kinda just look like ones you can get from a local costume shop for halloween, they didnt seem that extravagent for a theme park...guess you guys noticed the same thing.
:)

I love Dinasaur :love:So I will be okay with Spiderman for sure !!:banana:

:thumbsup2

Yep, exactly. Maybe that is the look they were going for or maybe Universal just doesn't invest that much in their characters. :confused3

Oh ok, thanks for looking that up for me! :goodvibes

I think if I ever go to Universal I might enjoy that section of the park, superheroes have always been interesting to me. Granted, I've never read the comic books or watched the cartoons, but I have seen a few of the movies. I still think it could be interesting though.
Oh man! I would have been so bummed to find that Ben and Jerry's was only soft serve! Who knew they even did soft serve? Not I. :confused3
Yeah those costumes... they do look a little Halloween-ish. That big metal-ish guy was pretty cool looking though. It also looks like Spiderman either had an itch or a crick in his neck when he was on his little racer thing.
