Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Well I am all caught up !!
First .. Why were the Bros sitting on the Fountain !!Don't they know they are supposed to STAND in front of it with their hands in front of them and look back at the camera with a grin !!!!

I tried to convince them to pose but they basically said they are originals and don't copy other peoples photos.

How could I forget this one !!!
The Prtincess dresses would have been perfect to show the girls before our trip and ask which color they would like as these were what we had ordered for them:rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao: That would have been hilarious!

Welcome back, Lessa. I'm glad to hear you had a good trip, and even happier that your wine made it back in good shape.

Can't wait for the next update.

 I was very worried about getting the wine back home since I wouldn't be able to carry it onto the plane but I also didn't want the bottles to break and end up with wine all over my stuff. I only bought three bottles as I wouldn't be able to fit much more in my suitcase without going over the weight limit. I carefully bubble wrapped each bottle then placed each wrapped bottle in the individual sized bag that they came in. I then bubble wrapped them all together and placed them in the shopping bag from the winery. Then I wrapped that bag in two grocery bags. Then I wrapped them in my "waterproof" coat before placing them in the middle of my suitcase with my clothing as padding so that any shock from the luggage being tossed around at the airport could be absorbed. It took me about thirty minutes just to pack the wine in my suitcase.

Loving your trip report. I just wanted to say I live 3 hours north of Syracuse on the Canadian Border. We also LOVE the new 7am direct JetBlue flight. I wanted to let you know that if you book the park n fly at the Best Western right there at the airport it's usually cheaper than the airport parking fee. We always do this to avoid the 2am travels to the airport w/ 3 kids. They drive you to the airport and pick you up when you return.

Welcome! I just love JetBlue!

I have heard about the Park and Fly deals but they typically won't work for our family as Alek, Erich and I tend to work the evening/night of our departures so we end up leaving in the early am no matter what.

May 15th continued

We continued to wander around World Showcase. I briefly checked out the Flower and Garden displays in China since I had missed them the day before due to the rain. They had Chinese Zodiac displays setup.

Next we went to Norway and got in line for Maelstorm. Alek and Erich had never been on it before and wanted to check it out. It felt as though we were in line forever!

My notes for this day are rather pathetic and I can't for the life of me remember if we stayed to watch the movie at the end. I remember telling Alek and Erich it was no good and they love to act contrary so I have a feeling we did but I am not 100% sure.

We did walk around in the gift shops. Mom and I both love the sweaters they sell but they are so expensive! This one was a bargain at $340! Does anybody actually buy these at these outrageous prices? :confused3

I couldn't leave Norway without getting one of my favourite WDW treats, a Cloudberry Horn, they are divine!

After enjoying my yummy snack we made our way out of World Showcase. It was just after 4pm and we decided that we were done with the park for the day.

Before leaving I had the family stop for some photopass pictures near the fountain. To see these photos you will have to wait until the next update! ;)

what is so special about those sweaters? yours is the second tr i have seen them in today alone.

Awesome pictures in China, Lessa. And the one of the boys...all I can say is

Okay, what is a Cloudberry Horn? Mark tried the school bread two years ago and did not like it at all. He wants to try something new this year.

great TR you have some awesome photos! Cant wait for the next ones :thumbsup2

Thank You!

I agree, the School Bread is rather bland. The Cloudberry Horn is much sweeter. The cream filling tastes like raspberries and the pastry is light and tasty. I highly recommend it. :thumbsup2

Does it have coconut? Mark is not a big fan of coconut, but he'll like the raspberry taste.

That is so funny that you took a picture of the Norway sweaters, I like to joke that they are the same inventory that opened with the shop back in 1988.

Although- I do know someone who bought one! My DH's roommate back when we lived in Pensacola, FL bought one for his girlfriend! The funny part is that she didn't like it and never ended up wearing it! That's a lot of money to spend for something to just hang in a closet.

So I guess that they are the exact same sweaters that were there when the store opened- minus one! :rotfl:

Nope, no coconut!

 I looked at the collection sold on the Dale website and the sweaters are very similar to what is sold in the store. She didn't like the sweater? I think they are beautiful but I am not sure when I would wear one if I owned one. :confused3

The only people I know that buy those expensive sweaters/jackets from Norway are CMs when they get 50% off :lmao: What did Alek and Erich think of Maelstrom?

:rotfl: Perhaps if Erich gets the WDW internship I will have him buy me a sweater. ;)

I think overall they were unimpressed. We'll see if they log on and make their own comment. I remember them remarking on all the trolls. ;)

I've always wanted one of those sweaters from Norway, but can never manage to spend the money on it. They look like they would be so warm and cozy. I'll probably never get one, but I'll probably always want one.

Yes, we did see a part of the movie, when we left the ride it was already part way through, so we sat down and watched the reminder of the movie.

They tend to TRAP you there and you feel obligated to stay at least once , after that NO way !!!:rotfl2:
When we were there in 2009 Judy'd favorite things in Norway were the Men !!:rotfl2:This time not so HOT!!!!!:rotfl2:

Of course The Bros pose is just:laughing::laughing::laughing:

I never watch the movie in Norway either. It's just mind numbing to me.

My mom has a Dale sweater. She's actually in love with them. The reason they're so expensive is because the sweaters can last for twenty years and look the same way they did when they were purchased. The technology used with the yarn makes them extremely durable. My mom's had hers for about 15 years and it looks the same way it did when she bought it.

Those Chinese Zodia displays are really cool! Too bad they didn't have Year of the Rat, because I think that's my year :confused3

Oh my gosh! Those are insane prices for just sweaters! I thought Disney couldn't get any more expensive lol I don't get it at all. And that cloudberry horn looks delicious :goodvibes

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I'd be afraid to wear a sweater that costs that much money:eek:.

I see your mom said you sat through the movie....I think your brothers big time for that one!;)
