Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Very cool that you got to meet Slim! :thumbsup2

I  the pics of BC and where you are going to be visiting on your trip. Makes me want to take a trip to Canada!

:worship: Wow I am impressed! you rule for taking photos....my most excellent flower and garden shots were the freebies stuck in by photo pass fairies!:rotfl:

 Thanks! I try my best, some of my efforts turn out better than others. :cutie:

LOL at the 30+ year old throwing a hissy fit!! I admit, I was bummed when I learned that Russel wasn't stamping or signing but you know other than "oh bummer" life went on and we got great photos! I wish we had paid better attention to the Pixar spots around the parks to catch the awesome characters.

Initially we had not intended on visiting many of the Pixar character spots but then we saw some of the rare characters out and couldn't resist!

Was no one waiting to see Marie- she looks all alone over there. ??

I'm not sure, how could anybody ignore cute little Marie? Then again, everybody seemed to be in line for Remy and Emile!

I love the photo of Erich (I think) inthe Fez with a goofy shirt. somehow very appropriate LOL

Alek actually and it is a pretty funny picture. :thumbsup2

Been lurking and haven't posted in a while. Don't you just love to watch the candy lady do her thing? And I would love to have a koi pond like that one in the Japan pavilion if I could find someone to feed them and keep the pond clean! ;)

I love Japanese Gardens as well and would love to have one but I would need to hire a gardener. I have pretty much neglected my poor rose bushes the past two summers and it shows!

sweet, have never seen slim before.

It was pretty awesome when we saw him out!

and im going to say you saw doug, and mr fredrickson, as you cant get more american adventure than an old man and his dog.

:rolleyes1

im with you, that would freak me out as well.
:thumbsup2

So far there has been no dangling off cliffs. Then again, we have only been here one full day so have only done one hike. They did freak me out a bit when they and Marcus (the dog) went out into the waterfall (after I told them about the Yosemite incident that was recently in the news!)

Lessa, great phots. I love the photos with Slim...I'm with you though, how does he/she walk around in that? :scared1:

I think it is crazy! I hope they get paid more than the other characters for being able to walk around in that costume.

Slim is so cool! I have never seen him before. I'm glad you all got a chance to meet him.

It looks like it's really beautiful in that part of Canada. I've never been, but I love the name Banff. It's fun to say. :rotfl:

It is gorgeous! We went on our first hike of the trip today and it was beautiful.

It is so pretty out here.

When we arrived I received bad news about the Banff trip, the stepmother is coming after all. Boo! Turns out my dad purposely misled me. He failed to inform me that he had recently bought a second vehicle, a beast of a car that will have plenty of room for all of us plus Maria, the dog and Aunt Mary. I was so looking forward to spending four days with our dad without the stepmother along! :headache:

I guess his attempt to make you guys be closer?
:headache:

I'm enjoying your TR pictures - especially the Pixar characters. Somebody sure put a lot of work in to a costume that is hardly ever used - that Slim costume is great! I wonder if it's a leftover from a parade at some point.

Try to enjoy your trip. At least your dad and your brothers will be there as a buffer! I have a step-daughter-in-law that I don't particularly care much for , but have learned to co-exist peacefully. I basically don't initiate any conversation, try to do all necessary communication by text, and smile and nod when all else fails. :rolleyes1

I'm pretty sure Slim is actually in the Pixar parade at Hollywood Studios (not 100% positive as I can't check my pictures till I get home) but as far as I know he is never out for pictures.

The trip has not been bad so far, she hasn't been too too annoying.

May 15th continued

Next up was the American pavilion. Definitely not a favourite stop in World Showcase but this day we made an exception as there was a unique character to be met!

Characters from Toy Story were set up in the pavilion. Not something we would usually get excited about as we were guessing that it would just be Woody and Jessie and Buzz. Well Woody was there but so was Bullseye! Awesome! Couldn't pass that opportunity up. There were also some flower and garden topiaries to photograph.

The line for the characters was pretty long but we got in line anyways. We typically won't want in a really long line for a character but when would we ever see Bullseye again?

Mom made friends with a woman in line so since she had somebody to chat with I wandered off to check out the gift shop and find out where Alek and Erich had wandered off to.

There was nothing interesting in the gift shop so I went back out to the line and rejoined Mom. As I said, the line was fairly long so the characters had to go on a break. Sometimes break time also means character switch time so I was nervous as to who would be coming back out, luckily Bullseye returned with Woody.

There were a few more topiaries at the back of the pavilion that I had not seen initially because of the long line blocking the view.

Character photo done it was time to move on to Italy where I took a few more photos.

Germany!

I once again was way too full from lunch to even contemplate getting something to eat from the caramel store.

Another photopass photo. Mom says I "ruined" the photo by wearing my Minnie ears. I think it still turned out nicely.

Passing through the African outpost, I took the opportunity to take pictures of the Lion King topiaries again since it had been cloudy the day before.

Spotted the princesses again, I suppose the outfits could have been worse... I know, I know, I am a terrible person.

The princess outfits didn't seem too bad from the back. I was actually going to say they looked okay, but they dont look so good from the front. The skirts could be cute but only on certain people.

We actually got to meet Bullseye. I wasn't missing that one.

I like your Mickey ears in the pictures. They add disneyness to them.

Ummmm. Just kind of speechless really.

You're not a terrible person by any means. The picture actually made me think that we have a people of Walmart website, maybe there should be a people of WDW? :lmao:

Kudos to meeting Bullseye.

Why is America not a favorite stop in World Showcase?

As for the picture of the princesses? I could remain speechless, but I won't. :lmao::lmao::lmao: Aren't we a "little" old for dressing up?

I saw those girls too!! Wonder if we saw each other in passing? Those were not something to easily forget, lol! Very cool to meet Bullseye and Woody. Were they just there for the festival, or are they normally there? I have never seen them at Epcot in all my zillions of visits there.

So cool that you guys got to meet Woody AND BULLSEYE! And the pictures came out great! Bullseye is one of my favorite TS characters, hopefully I'll meet him someday (:

What's with the girls in the princess outfits? I totally agree... very strange... If it were during one of the marathon weeks/weekends or something I wouldn't be as skeptical, but it just doesn't add up.

I don't think your Minnie ears ruined the photo, it makes it look more-so that you were ACTUALLY in Disney not some random lagoon LOL

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

At least you got to meet one special character! I like the Minnie ears too! If she wanted a picture without them she could have asked me to take them off.

 I was just telling my dad about the People of Walmart site the other day. I have had some good laughs with my coworkers looking at that site.

Kudos to meeting Bullseye.

Why is America not a favorite stop in World Showcase?

We just find it kinda boring. The show there is too long and we pretty much fell asleep during it the one time we saw it and I find American history very interesting. There aren't any cool shops to browse through so other than the Voices of Liberty which Alek and Erich would have no interest in there is not really anything there for us to do. Compared to the rest of World Showcase I find America lacking. Just my opinion though as I know lots of people really enjoy the show.

I agree unless it is a special event such as the Halloween Party or if it is party of your running outfit for the Princess marathon. Even then I certainly wouldn't choose those particular outfits.

I saw those girls too!! Wonder if we saw each other in passing? Those were not something to easily forget, lol!

 Too funny!

They were just there for Pixar Weekend.

   YOU GOT TO MEET BULLSEYE?!?!?!? You are SO incredibly lucky!!! Does Pixar weekend happen every year cause now I really want to go!!!!

Okay, those skirts were a bit much. They look like they're intended for children, not teenagers  I like dressing up, don't get me wrong but at least get a costume that fits properly or one you don't look ridiculous in :rotfl:

Nope, I think it was just this year because they were having some sort of anniversary. Maybe if it becomes popular enough they will repeat it? :confused3

Thank You Mom

You're welcome Lessa, what are mom's for.

We have been under a severe weather advisory all day and through the night, we have had severe and heavy rains for much of the day, sump pump has been running, the cats none to happy and with the thunder and have been hiding in Erich's room.

So what has mom been doing while the kids are away? Keeping busy...

Bullseye is awesome! I think he would be worth a long wait, too. I thought the picture looked great, even with Minnie ears. It's more authentic that way.

I'm sorry you didn't get your trip with just your dad. You all are camping, right? Have you ever seen The Parent Trap?
