Feeling Hot Hot Hot! The Rain Curse is Broken! Two Weeks of Fun in the Sun! COMPLETE

Marcus is a really cute dog. What breed is he? Do you have any pets at your home? You may have already said but I have a bad memory.
More pics of Marcus please. One was enough of the step-mother! ;-)

I love the Poly pics -- it's just so relaxing at that resort.

Your drink looked delish and your Dole Whips even better!:thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more!

Marcus is adorable! He is a mutt, part lab and part something else, dad got him from the humane society as a puppy.

We do have two cats at home, Amber and Hobbes (my sweet kitties) and Erich has two fish, Alvin and Theodore. He hasn't bought Simon yet. ;)

More Marcus? Coming right up! I'll post his dog park videos from the first day. There are lots more pictures of him coming up. :thumbsup2

I agree, just love the Poly! They must pump something into the air there.

May 16th continued

After spending a good bit of time at the Poly we hopped on the monorail and made our way over to the Magic Kingdom.

There was a photopass photographer out front so of course we had to get a picture!

As we entered we saw the last bit of the afternoon parade making its way down Main St. I hurried over towards the emporium so I could snap a few shots of the princesses as they went by. Well I ended up just following along as they proceeded down Main St so I had lots of opportunities to get pictures of all the princesses.

Our main goal that afternoon was to ride Big Thunder Mountain. We were cut off from it at the moment though due to the parade so instead we ventured into Adventureland where I saw this

I am pretty sure those were tattooed on! I hope she doesn't regret that decision 20 years down the road.

I saw that the Pirates League show was starting so I rushed over to check it out. I wanted to see how "authentic" Jack was, he was pretty good!

We didn't stay for the whole show as the others didn't seem really interested in it. Since the parade was still passing by and blocking our route we decided to go on Pirates.

Oh, I would have been like you with the step-mom situation! Like, what?!

We have a winery near us and when we've visited my dad buys a WHOLE LOT, so they suck up to him too. I know exactly what you mean.

I love the pictures of your brothers. They crack me up all the time. I don't understand how you keep a straight face. Well, nevermind, I do. People say that to me about my brothers too, but because I'm used to them, I don't find them as funny anymore. :rotfl:

Lessa, I missed a couple of updates (out of town over the weekend and sick the last two days -- haven't been on the DIS much and still have to update my PTR...we leave in two weeks).

I love the Poly too. And as much as I love the CSR, I would alternate with the Poly every year if it weren't for the price. But is such a beautiful resort.

Glad you got to see part of the parade and get pictures of the princesses.

Mark used to have the Mine Mine shirt your brother has on; we loaned it to my brother when he slobbered all over the shirt he had on when he was here one day, and we never got it back.

I love Target too...one of my favorite stores. But I won't say the food is that cheap. Your food prices must be higher than ours to think that.

Two great Updates Lessa !!! The Bros in the Pirates is just:rotfl2::rotfl2:I can imagine your horror at being called Maria's daughter :scared1:

Yeah, why is it that all the really nice hotels have to cost so much?!

Yes, our grocery prices are much higher up here. We are always in awe when we visit the States and go to the grocery store. Here is a comparison: Our milk here costs around $5 for less than a gallon. Most places I have been to in the States charge around $2.50-$3.00 for a gallon. Chocolate bars run around $1.25, in the States they are under a dollar.

Pretty much all prices in Canada are much higher. Just for fun once I looked up car prices. The same model of car with the same features etc was over $10,000 more in Canada than the US. It is highway robbery! It is outrageous nowadays as our dollar is on par with the American, in fact, it is worth slightly more! It has been this way for a few years now but the prices have not adjusted.

If you have a book handy take a look at the price on it as they almost always have the US and Canadian price listed. It is probably $2-$3 more in Canada if it is a paperback and maybe even $10 more if it is a hard cover.

:rotfl: I still laugh at them all the time but then again sometimes I do not find them amusing at all but that is usually when they are making fun of me. ;)

It was awful! I am scarred for life! :sad2: ;)

Well, finally all caught up......AGAIN!!! :guilty:

Lots of great pictures and scenery on your hike and winery drinking binge! ;) For someone who gets along with the step so well (obviously since you took so many pictures with her in them to remember her by) I am surprised you didn't let someone else have the camera so you could be in a few with her! :rolleyes1

More fun at Disney! As for the Super Target, when we stay at Kidani, it is only about five minutes away for me. Maybe you don't drive as creatively, or you don't know the cut through to get over to Bronson quickly. :confused3 Probably the "creatively" part!!!

That ugly hat I am wearing is not mine by the way. It is Maria's, I only wore it to help protect my face as I didn't want to put sunscreen on it and breakout in hives like I did at Disney.
I thought you took things like that off BEFORE the pictures??? :lmao:

Had to get caught up with the last couple of updates. I also like to visit the Polynesian. Every time we go it brings back memories from our first few trips to WDW because that's where we always stayed. I hope you get to stay there!

 Unfortunately I did end up in a few photos with her once we got to Banff thanks to Dad.

:confused3 Maybe there is another Super Target I'm not aware of because the SuperTarget we ended up at was way down Bronson near the Medieval Times. We turned left at the lights where the Publix and Walgreens are located.

Just looked at a map, there is a second Target on Bronson that is closer to WDW than the one we found. We just never ventured in that direction down Bronson.

 Well, I was a bit occupied at the time trying to not fall in the lake. ;)

I hope so too! With Alek and Erich's plan to not return for at least 5 years it should be a possibility, lots of time to save! By that time I will also be done with school and will be earning a lot more money. :thumbsup2

They say if you stay in one of the higher floors at Kidani you can actually see the Super Target if you are on the pool side of the building. Each time we have stayed there we are on the second floor, just down from the lobby, so I can't say for certain.

When you leave the resort past the guard shack you get to that first light and take a right. Quick little trip out to W Irlo Bronson. Take another right onto WIB and the Super Target is just a little ways up on the left. Very helpful group of stores in the same shopping center. Nice to find a "package store" in the same location for all your desirable "blender needs" when staying in the resort and wanting to partake of your favorite adult beverage while sitting on the balcony! ;)

Package store? What funny names you Americans have for the liquor store. ;)

I think its hilarious that your dad bribed your brother with IHOP! Seriously, all you would have to do is say the word "winery" and I'd already be waiting in the car!

It looks like you had a really nice time (except for the whole Step-mother exchange :scared1:) and made some great wine choices!

The pics of the bros in the POTC gift shop are priceless! The looks on their faces are too funny, I can only imagine what the people walking by thought.

Oh, and I think those new Disney princess shirts are awesome, I might need the Jasmine one for my disney shirt collection :rolleyes1

The winery looks so beautiful and it seems like you had a great day.

I love the new Disney princess line. I want all of the shirts and the nail polish.

Love the pirates pics. Your brothers are funny guys. Do they ever pose for a serious pic?

I MET THAT ARIEL AT AKERSHUS IN JANUARY!
That parade holds a special place in my heart... and I haven't even seen the whole thing yet! You'll read about that in the next tr though ;)
Eww that tattoo is gross. :sad2:
I love Pirates league... it's like Jack Sparrow came to life! ahhh...

we love wineries as well, but we are a stay around 12 dollar a bottle sort of people.
