Feel like the Discount Fairy Skipped me!

Does anyone else feel like the disounts where just not there for Deluxe Resorts in December ? I am staying at the poly with a 15% off AAA rate. When I priced out the package with todays rate I would've actually been paying $40 more than the AAA rate. I can't believe when I read people still looking for a better disount then there 40% off rack rate . I would be super happy with just 20%-30% of rack rate.

No pixie dust here for me either. We're at GF for 10/19-25 with a 10% off AAA rate. I called 3 times today and no luck with GF, Poly, or Contemp. I need a monorail resort. I've been up early each day on code watch this week. I feel let down - no VISA codes either.

Me too! Up everyday this week an hour early and nothing!

No pixie dust for us at the Poly either, and I called first thing this morning (and a few times again after that, just to be sure). Last year I saved 40% off rack rate and I booked it in September for the same week, resort, room category.

Disney is definately not hurting in this economy!!

We had no luck with the codes today either. We made room only reservations through AAA for BC for 3 nights 11/8 - 10 and for WL for 2 nights (11/11 - 12) and bought 5 day passes from undercover tourist - our total cost was about $2500. 2 CMs quoted me package prices for just the first part of our stay at $2200!! With the cost of the 2 nights at WL, the total cost if I booked directly with Disney would have been over $2800!!
I guess we'll stick to what we have!

We are staying at the Polynesian in October (18-24) and I tried 3 different codes and none of them worked.

When my DH called me this morning from work I told him I couldn't talk right then because I was on my cell phone with Disney trying to get a discount. When I called him back I told him I didn't get a discount so this will be the first time in 9 Disney trips that we won't get any kind of discount and will be paying rack rate. And he said - "Disney must not be hurting in this economy".

Oh well, I didn't need the discount I just wanted it!

The discounts were there but just did not beat AAA which wasn't much of a discount.

I am not going to cancel our trip because of this but we just won't be able to take a trip back as soon as we could have if I did get a substantial discount.

At least you have SOME discount. We're at the Poly 12/7-14 at RACK RATE!! I have been code hunting since January.....

I am more than a little concerned that our week will be PACKED but I refuse to change resorts (been waiting for years for this chance!) or dates (already have great ADRs!).

Oh Well, still hoping for a VISA code....

Tried all codes this morning for my friend who is staying at the CR in October. None of them worked for her. Thank goodness our family has the bounceback rate. I feel bad she is stuck paying rack rate.

I'm not a AAA member but I did look into it a while ago and the rate was the same as the regular people.

I feel like a broken record. LOL! My mom and I both got the discount on our existing CR reservations. Both were in the garden wing--no tower available.

I am not staying in deluxe but at CSR and the discount fairy totally skipped me. My only option is to move from CSR to either CBR or POR to save $392. I can't convince myself to do that. I haven't even been to disneyworld but I was talked into CSR.

There really isn't a huge difference between CBR and CSR. If the discount is good I would take it!

That's odd. They accidentally moved me into a club level at Beach Club when I first called to apply the code.

Just wanted to let you know that when I called there WAS rooms avail. with the discount for Nov 13th-18th.....maybe you could apply the code to some of your stay? Also...I was told there was no blackout dates with this discount. I called at 12:30pm and that is what I was told.
Maybe call back...

I did. I was afraid to post this here because I don't want to make people feel bad. But, I bring it up because when I tried to use my Annual Pass discount code yesterday on the Polynesian, I was told absolutely not. I used the same code today, and saved $743 off my room-only stay for 10 nights.

So don't give up, call back either later today or tomorrow. I'm wishing pixie dust on everybody!!!
