Hi everyone! :wave2:

We decided to make an ADR at bluezoo for our trip in October. It seems that since it isn't on the DDP and is in the Dolphin Hotel---you don't hear as much about it on these boards as other WDW restaurants.

Looking for feedback/reviews/pictures/recommendations/anything!

We love seafood and can't wait to compare bluezoo to the Flying Fish when we go back in December.

Thanks!
Ann

I have to say that after we heard so many glowing reviews on DIS, dh and I went last June. I am sorry to say, we hated the dinner. The Cod my DH got was VERY fishy tasting, my Mahi was mushy and very salty. The presentation was loverly, but service was sub-par and the food was not good.

Maybe it was an off night. We are huge fans of Flying Fish and it did not compare at all for us.

I went in August with Mom, Aunt and Sister. I'm not a big fish eater only eat shellfish. It was Mom's birthday she and sister had grouper. They both loved it! I had softshell crab it was good I enjoyed it, aunt had the same. I would go back.

My wedding dinner was there. You can read about it my TR. I very much enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the staff.

My husband and I ate there on our last anniversary. I loved the decor and the fact that it wasn't Disney overkill. I do have to say, I wasn't very happy with the food. I ordered the lobster dish, although the lobster was cooked very well, it was topped off with a lot of vinegar. Needless to say, I'm not a vinegar person, so I could barely eat it.

I've heard many good things about this restaurant and that's why we tried it, so apparently others have really enjoyed their dishes.

If you love seafood and have never been there, bluezoo is definitely worth a try. Even if you don't like it, you can decided that for yourself rather than relying on the opinions of others.

I can only go on my past experiences (latest one in May this year), I've now eaten there 5 times and each time the meal has been fantastic, the food sublime, the atmosphere more 'grown up' and (again, in my own experience) quieter than the majority of Disney owned restaurants, service professional, friendly, prompt, etc.

However, that is only my opinion but put it this way - I'm returning next year :goodvibes

Ouch---that stinks. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that when we go, it'll be an "on" night, since it's my birthday. :goodvibes

I would go back.

:thumbsup2

I did some poking around in your PJ and TR and made sure to check out the bluezoo dinner. Looks fantastic---did anyone in your party have the scallop with braised short ribs? I've been eyeing that up and wanted some thoughts on whether it was a "yay" or "nay."

Also---congratulations on the wedding! It looked beautiful and I'm glad to hear you had a wonderful day, even if you didn't request spider mums to be in your floral arrangements. ;)

You hit the nail on the head of why I'd like to go there. Not Disney overkill, looks a little bit more interestingly decorated than some other WDW restaurants and it'll be my birthday/our anniversary dinner so I'm looking for some place a little quieter and different than your run of the mill WDW locations---which we'll be trying plenty of in December.

PS: I love vinegar!! :rotfl:

I will be trying it for myself, just like to get a heads up to see if they're known for one dish, have one dish people all seem to hate, etc. I love seafood, so I'm hoping it's a good trip and money well spent. :)

Fantastic, sublime, grown up, quiet professional, friendly and prompt are all words I like to hear. Glad you had such great experiences there and I hope mine is just as good!
