Meeting up with the parents in FLA for Disney... We've been the trip planners for the whole thing and looking for some feedback since they have no idea what they want. It's me, DS, DD (3), and the 2 GPs (70+). They like an occasional character meal, but like different foods than us. Since our trip was somewhat short notice, reservations for 5 are tough to come by, too...

Sat 9/24 - Arrive
4:20 - Chef Mickey's (for 5)

Sun 9/25 - MK Day
9:05 - CRT (for 3) / Whispering Canyon Cafe (for GPs)
2:25 - CRT (for 3) / Liberty Tree (for GPs)
6:15 - Plaza (everyone)
Then stay for parade & fireworks

Mon 9/26 - MK Day
9:45 - Ohana (for 3) / 9:00 - Whispering Canyon Cafe (for GPs)
1:00 - Crystal Palace (for 3) / 1:00 - Tony's (for GPs)
5:50 - Park Fare (for 3) / 6:15 - Artist Point (for GPs)

Tue 9/27 - Epcot Day
9:30 - Akershus (for 3) / 8:55 - Whispering Canyon Cafe (for GPs)
4:30 - Garden Grill (for 3) / 4:50 - Chefs de France (for GPs)

Wed 9/28 - DHS
10:00 - Hollywood & Vine (everyone)
5:25 - Whispering Canyon (for 3) / 5:15 Brown Derby/Fantasmic (for GPs)

Thu 9/29 - Back to MK/Leave
9:50 Park Fare (everyone)
2:30 Kona Cafe (for 3) / 2:20 CRT (for GPs - they REALLY want to go!)

My advice is to keep trying for an ADR for 5 at CRT (or any of the restaurants). Check as often as you can online...spots just may open. We've even gotten in as a walk-in there, so you just never know. You can even check with your concierge if you are staying at a Disney resort. I've seen things open in the morning for that day.

I planned a 4 generation one week trip and we ate every meal together and were on the Deluxe Dining Plan...I don't advise that! :rotfl: But, it is nice to have at least one meal a day together. I think I'd take GPs to Akershus over Hollywood & Vine, if you can get a spot. H&V is pretty loud with the Playhouse Disney theme and all the music. Service and food are just mediocre.

CRT and Akershus have some cancellations at the 48 - 72 hour mark due to the advanced credit card requirement. Persistence has always worked for me on our last minute changes.

Good Luck and have a great trip!
