feedback on adr plans

Hi Everyone:

My family (me, DH, DD9, DS6, DS10months) are travelling to DIS for the 1st time this June!! Any and all feedback on the following would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Day 1: Chef Mickey's dinner
Day 2: Crystal Palace dinner
Day 3: Ohana dinner
Day 4: either 50's Primetime or Sci-Fi Drive in--suggestions??
Day 5: Donald's Safari Breakfast
Day 6: OPEN, planning on spending the day at Magic Kingdom, suggestions??
Last Day: late flight out, suggestions for lunch??

Most days we figured we would eat breakfast in out room (besides the Safari breakfast) and lunches would be Counter Service, wherever we may be at the time (except our last day).

We are on the BDP, btw.

I would do 50's PrimeTime. Magic Kingdom day I would say Tony's or you could hop the Monorail and go to the Grand Floridian Cafe. Everything else sounds good. Last day not sure where you will be but maybe going some where in DTD if you do not have park tickets.

Looks great, If I might suggest maybe even leaveing out a day or two for counter service meals they can be great for If you are on the go.

Are you on the Dining Plan? If not and if you are eligible (Disney hotel and buying tickets for everyone from WDW) it would make a lot of sense for your family.

You are planning a daily TS meal, you have children in the group, you plan to eat at several buffets. The buffets cost $4 more per adult and $2 more per child during the month of June. That is a total of $12 more for those meals f your family. You'll also pay 6.5% sales tax on all meals, with the DP your taxes are included in the DP fee.

I would consider booking a late seating (10:30am) at Boma on your final day. Since you have selected TH for breakfast you aren't going to the AK Lodge. The Lodge is amazing and worth a trip. After breakfast go to several of the lookout spots to see the animals on the savannah. I did this yesterday and saw an ostrich, waterbuck and zebras. In the past we've also seen giraffe. The staff there is generally top notch and there are several CMs in the lobby that are there to help share some of the history and unique features of the Lodge.

If you want a TS lunch there are lots of great places, but I'd need more info as to where you'd expect to be on the final day.

We stayed at CBR in 2007, great choice and wonderful CS options there. If you are on the DP you should be able to order breakfast and share and they come with two drinks. So you don't have to be restricted to "stuff in the room". CS meals are pretty generous, expect to share them often.

We are on the dining plan and we have hoppers for all 7 days of our stay, so really anything is possible for this lunch. I wanted to wrap up the vacation with something for the kids to remember.

Day 4: either 50's Primetime or Sci-Fi Drive in--suggestions?? Sounds like 50s PTC will go over great with your age groups. It's a blast and the food is good. Food at Sci-Fi is so/so and the movies might bore your kids. 50s is way more interactive.

The only big-bang lunch suggestion I have would be Cinderella's Royal Table. What is more memborable than eating inside the Castle??

I'd also say that the Hoop Dee Doo Revue would be great for your family.

CRT and HDDR are 2 ts credits each, so keep that in mind if you go that route. If it were me, I'd ditch Crystal Palace and use that ts credit to do CRT or HDDR on another day.

I'd skip the Sci-Fi and go with 50's Prime Time. For your Magic Kingdom day, how about the Plaza or you can take the Monorail over to the Poly and eat at Kona. Happy eating!!!

We (me, DH, DS4) are going for 7 days in May with the Dining Plan and trying 4 of the same restaurants. We are also trying 3 restaurants at Epcot.

Our plan:
Day 1: Chef Mickey's dinner
Day 2: 50's Primetime dinner
Day 3: Ohana dinner
Day 4: Coral Reef dinner
Day 5: Le Cellier dinner
Day 6: Teppan Edo lunch (CS and Fantasmic that night)
Day 7: Crystal Palace dinner

I haven't been to WDW in 15+ years, so I've never tried any of these places, but I've been lurking the boards and poring over menus and restaurant reviews since Thanksgiving. These restaurants consistently get good reviews, and my TA thought this plan was great.

Why not try something in Epcot World Showplace? I think my 4 year old will enjoy watching the cooking at Teppan Edo and the aquarium at Coral Reef. I went with 50's Primetime over SciFi due to the seating of 2 per row at SciFi, and I think we will enjoy the menu and theming more at Primetime.

If you want a meal in MK then I'd also suggest the Plaza. I still suggest Boma for either lunch or dinner, both are wonderful meals. We also loved Coral Reef for lunch, that's in Epcot.

Day 2: Crystal Palace dinner My first ever dinner at WDW was CP. It holds a special place in my heart
Day 3: Ohana dinner never been, but heard good things about it
Day 4: either 50's Primetime or Sci-Fi Drive in--suggestions?? I'd say 50's because every friend I have ever had to go to SciFi did not like it.
Day 5: Donald's Safari Breakfast Yet again, I haven't been here, but it's on our to do list
Day 6: OPEN, planning on spending the day at Magic Kingdom, suggestions?? My suggestion is to take the monorail over for the Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch. Very relaxed atmosphere. My favorite meal in October.

Hey, don't shoot the messenger, it is what it is. I think it is the same crowd situation as in December. Maybe trying to encourage the DP or for you to move your trip into May or July, less crowded times. They did this in 2008 as well.

Day 1: CM is great. Lots of fun and food is great
Day 2: CP is the BEST!! Remember to try the Penna ala Vodka.
Day 3: I've never eaten here, but have heard good things
Day 4: Sci-Fi the movie is cute and the food is great. I've had a couple of off times at 50's and the food wasn't as good as Sci-Fi
Day 5: DSB is great. maybe my favorite breakfast on prop,
Day 6: Tony's is great, or The Plaza (although not a good use of dining credit)
