Hi! I would greatly appreciate any feedback from anyone who has done this excursion. Is there a area with lounge chairs if you want to relax on the beach? Also, are the crowds really bad? We had wanted to go to Jost Von Dyke TT-14 but it leaves at too early for our family especially since the night before is New years. We will be in port Jan 1st.

Thank you in advance for your insight!

I’ve been to The Baths twice but neither time on a cruise excursion. There are no lounger chairs on the beaches at The Baths. Sit in the sand. Sit in the water. Bring something to lay down on the sand to sit on. There are no chairs, no vendors with chairs, nothing like that. When cruise excursion groups arrive it can get pretty crowded. If there’s more than 1 ship in port that day it will absolutely get crowded.

^^^ we did this excursion through DCL in May 2017.
Loved it, for us it was a must see.

Also worth noting, the first DCL cruise to have gone back to Tortola after last year's hurricane... was there Tuesday.

It's doubtful that some things have changed - the Baths never had loungers or vendors and there is no reason to believe they'll acquire any.

But a lot of Tortola has changed.

We did this excursion in Nov 2016. The waves were so rough that we could
Not enjoy the water. Both of my children got major cuts on their feet and the beach was small with no loungers. We left after a very short amount of time and they swam at the restaurant pool. I have no idea of those type of waves are normal but it was awful.

Was there with the first cruise back last week. there are no chairs or loungers and we unfortunately got very little beach time anyway. It was slow going through the trail and caves. Guide actually said it usually was worse when there would be more than one ship in port which a scary thought.

I am bumping this up because I’m going next week and this is the excursion I packed, but now I’m having second thoughts…

Should I do something else. I live at a beach so going to a beach isn’t a must.

Just looking for a cool experience

I really enjoyed the adventure of going through the rocks - different than a normal beach excursion. Definitely a highlight of our cruise that my kids really loved.
