Okay, so I'm another one of the lucky ones that will probably get to make my ADR's with no park hours posted. So after using a link someone posted to last years hours and a little guessing here's what I've come up with. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

early dinner at Crystal Palace and then MVMCP

Mon Dec 8
Rope drop MK
Counter service breakfast
BBB
late CRT lunch
afternoon rest and dinner at Jikos

Tues Dec 9
this is our MGM day
Either a late breakfast at HW&V or early lunch at 50's (DD loved the character lunch at HW&V, but I didn't much care for the food.)
Dinner - Fantasmic pkg with Brown Derby?

Wed Dec 10
Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast
then afternnon at Animal Kingdom
Dinner Hoop Dee Doo

Thur Dec 11
Epcot day
late breakfast at Akershus ( I want to get a few things done in Epcot first)
counter service lunch
Dinner maybe LeCellier with or without the CP package haven't decided
if not LeCellier then Yachtsman and back to Epcot to enjoy the World Showcase at night

Friday Dec 12
I don't know which park
I don't know breakfast
I don't know lunch
I don't know dinner

Sat Dec 13
last day
I don't know breakfast
I don't know lunch
CA Grill early dinner and then maybe back to MK for fireworks one last time

Last year we did Shulas and loved it, but it was a LONG dinner. And we were so stuffed there was no way we were heading back to a park. In fact the only night we spent in a park was the first night for the parade and fireworks. I want to enjoy the parks in the evenings this time. But one of DH favorite parts of the trip is eating at the nice restaurants. I tried to do some new stuff this year like Jiko's and LeCellier. DH also isn't huge on getting up even earlier for breakfast. I LOVE the breakfast and tried to work a few in. I just don't want our eating to take over our park time There was so much we didn't do last time. Any suggestions?

Oh and I signed up for now with the DxDDp.

My thought as I read your list was the day you plan "Chef Mickey's for a late breakfast, then AK in the afternoon" in December -- the sun sets very early at that time of year, so maybe you ought to do AK in the morning since it is usually the park that closes the earliest. Especially with a late breakfast, you might consider doing MK that day and on another day arriving at morning rope drop for AK.

Thanks, I hadn't thought too much about the travel time on that day. Although we won't be rushing that day. AK is just not a BIG day for us. DD didn't like the Dinosaur ride last year so we'll skip it this year and possibly the KRR too if it's cooler weather. So really all we'll do is EE and maybe the safari ride and Bugs Life. It's just not a faborite park of ours so I'm hoping not to spend a lot of time here and get back to WL to change and relax before heading to the HDD. We usually do the later show. I don't know if they have both in December or not. So I'm hoping the travel time won't feel so bad. We can take the boat to CR for a late breakfast around 10 or so then a bus from there to AK then a bus later back to our resort. Do you think that's just too much?

I thought about the travel issues on that Wednesday and came up with a possible solution.

What if we switched and a late lunch/early dinner at Chef Mickey's on arrival day before going to MK for MVMCP and then tried to do the Tusker House Character Breakfast on our AK day. We could still do a later breakfast and choose to sleep in a little that day if we wanted. But it would cut out some travel time.

I'm just not sure about Chef Mickey's lunch/dinner. Is it any good? We've only ever done the breakfast. (I would get up early and do breakfast every day, but DH will not.)

Why not try Tusker House for a late breakfast.......there is a character breakfast there, and then you are already in AK to enjoy the day!

We did Chef Mickey's for dinner.........we truely enjoyed it, so much so that we are having Thanksgiving Dinner there this year! I have read lots of negative reviews about Chef Mickeys, but for each bad report there is another person that loved it (just like ALL of the dining choices at Disney).

Just a few observations:

Your MVMCP tickets will get you into MK as early as 4pm w/o having a park ticket. Hopefully you can do a few park things as well as dinner before the party starts at 7pm. We did the Pirate and Princess party last summer, stayed late and did Chef Mickey's for a later bfast. I'm not sure I'd plan the party then rope drop with a 5yo (same age as my nephew last trip). I'd consider a nice TS lunch on that first day then grab a CS dinner at the park during the party, if you get hungry. That will give you back some MK time.

On your AK day maybe consider breakfast at Boma. Its a really good meal and a short ride from AKL to AK making your day a little less hectic.

At Epcot if you have not tried Coral Reef, I'd consider it. We ate very well there and the aquarium and underwater feel should entertain your DD.

Thanks for the help guys. I think I am going to go with Tusker House on our AK day. DD really enjoys the character meals and its a good way for me to sneak in a breakfast. (DH hates getting up earlier to eat breakfast, he is not a breakfast person at all.)

Last year we went to the MK on our arrival night just to catch the parade and fireworks and we did get in a couple of rides before the parade. HM and BTMRR. We were fine to get up and make our 8:00 ADR at CP and do MK the next day. Then that evening we had a nice dinner and went to bed earlier. DD did fantastic. So I'm hoping for a similar plan and luck this year.

What characters are at Tusker House? I hate to miss doing Chef Mickey's this year. I really love their breakfast.

Well you know your little one. I was thinking of a party that ended at midnight rather than FW that end at 10:30. Sounds like you have a plan.
