I'm so excited and have learned so much from the DIS. DH and I are taking our first trip to the world and we do not have kids. We are both huge kids at heart and are really looking forward to the characters! I'll also be arriving a week after my 30th bday and want to celebrate there if it's okay that it is late. I couldn't get time off work earlier.... :sad1:

So here is what we chose for our trip in July and I appreciate all feedback!

Tusker House - breakfast
Ohana - dinner
Liberty Tree Tavern - dinner
Norway - Dinner
50's prime time - dinner
Crystal Palace - breakfast
Cinderella Castle - dinner
Germany - dinner

Thanks!

I think 50's Prime Time has a better lunch menu than dinner. And you should have one lunch in there ;)

For my 30th birthday (many years ago!) we did Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast at 8:15. I had my "Today is my Birthday" button on. The characters were so much fun. Belle said I could steal Prince Charming away from Cindy :rolleyes1

After breakfast, we were the first ones in Fantasy Land. We were able to ride all the rides before the kids showed up.

I'd also throw in a Down Town Disney restaurant since you'll be there without kids. Bongos was always our favorite.

I agree with the pp about going to DTD. :thumbsup2 I would also recommend doing a night (maybe when there aren't evening hours) at the boardwalk. :upsidedow

I always forget the BW!! :rotfl:

Yeah, they have some great restaurants! Flying Fish, Spoodles!

Do they still have Dueling Pianos lounge? We saw them on the Cruise, DH and I LOVED that show!!

Oh and make sure to check out the Adventurers Club and the Comedy Club at PI!

We just got back today from our first trip and I liked the lunch at 50s PTC. We originally had a dinner reservation but I was able to get a late lunch-1:55
We didn't have as much "fun" as another table but the food was good-loved the fried chicken.

The only character meal that we have done and not really enjoyed was Liberty Tree Tavern, the family style food was really not good. I would say that if you want to have dinner with Mickey and friends that Chef Mickeys has better food and even better character interaction. If you want to stay at the Magic Kingdom for dinner, the buffet food at CP is way better than LTT.

It is NOT too late to celebrate your birthday. We went for my 50th birthday last year in September although it was not until December 30 (we could not leave during the holidays). We have been to all of the places you have selected except Tusker House and Cinderella Castle (we had two boys and they did not want to go); we did lunch rather than dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern and it was very good; we love Crystal Palace for breakfast--it is a must do every trip. We enjoy Prime Time (although it has been years since we ahve been there; and we absolutely love Biergarten. The only one on your list we were not crazy about was Norway (we did lunch there last year...it was just okay in our books). But being your first trip, you ought to try what appeals to you.
Have a wonderful first visit! pixiedust:
