Fedex was here with my litho "once upon a dream, it was broke, anybody else have this problem? fedex man today me not to accept it to refuse it and they will send it back, so that is what i did, anyone else get theirs by fedex and it was broke?

i didnt know the litho was framed, i wonder what dvc is going to do now, will they send me another one?

wdwstar,

Was the the special litho members received during MH when doing an add on?? I wasn't sure of the name of it.

We received ours last week -- UPS -- with broken glass. I called our guide who instructed me that I needed to go through UPS in order to file a claim. I did this on Friday and missed the adjusters call today. From what our guide said, it was sent, uninsured, but since it was sent from WDW, they would follow the process to see what could be done.

Time will tell. Ours was left at our door and we didn't know it was broken until I went to open it -- when I could obviously hear the broken glass jiggling around. :( I do remember our guides words of "I don't have good news for you" when she called. I hope it's not as dreary as that statement sounded.

I was told ,as it was handed to me that DVC would not ship because it was not replacable once you got it it was yours. I went to Coranado bussiness center and shipped it home myself ,with insurance. It arrived June 3 in perfect shape. Good luck Brenda

Yes it was the one from MH. the fedex man wouldnt let us sign for it, he said what ever was in the box was broke and he was sending it back to were ever it came from, i didnt even get to look at where it was shipped from, i just assumed it was the litho.
i remembered reading a post about someone received theirs and the glass was broke.
oh well, i guess i will have to see what happens if dvc replaces it or does not replace it.

im going back at christmas, i wonder if they can hold it until then for me to pick it up...

I think I posted about this on another thread -- maybe the SSR incentive thread.

I'm wondering also. Actually, we ended up shipping it home based on a suggestion from the bellman who helped out on our checkout day. Sounded like a good idea at the time, as we were not certain whether we'd be allowed to take it on the plane as carryon due to it's size. In hindsight, it turned out to be a bad decision.

At least in our case, I know I asked for VWL to ship it to me. If they replace it/fix it/whatever, I'll be happy with this but I certainly don't expect it. I think in your case it's a bit difference, since you never had possession of it in the first place.

I hope it works out and you get a new one. :D

Well, unless things have changed, anything sent via UPS is automatically insured for up to $100. I don't know if the value HAS to be indicated on the shipping form or not. I'm sure you'll find out when you talk to UPS.

But I guess the $100 really doesn't matter that much, if it's a limited edition and can't be replaced....

Good luck! I hope things work out well for you.
