Fed up with invitations

Ok so I've had it. I can't seem to find something I like, so I thought I would make them. Cards and Pockets don't have quite the right colors. Envelopments do but for the life of me I can't figure out how or what to order.

Lol maybe I will just shoot everyone an email (totally kidding btw).

I also couldn't find exactly what I wanted at cards and pockets. I went to paperandmore.com , I thought they had a great selection for a reasonable price. We ordered pocket folders, large envelopes and response envelopes, along with coordinating paper for background, and punching mini-Mickeys for the pocket. We got the invites printed on plain white paper at UPS for $99! Do a google search, and I bet you can find what you want.

I can't find what I want either. I just decided to make my own. I plan on starting my envelope card template soon. Got see if there is something for the cricut so I don't have to do it all by hand, but I will if need be. I also looked at having someone on Etsy do what I wanted but at $4 I figured I could do it for it 1/2 and get more paper "for the invitations", and not have to say no when asked if I did myself and then feel bad.

cards and pockets doesn't have the blue i want either. so I'm making the actual pocket card and all the other pieces. I found my color at my local scrapbook store in a company I love (Bazzill) and going to get envelopes from paper affair.

I've already made my sketches I just haven't sat down with stuff to start it.

If you live in Orlando or any of the surrounding areas, there is a store called Parchment and they have many of the Disney type invitations. They are wonderful to work with as well. My daughter ordered her invitations and programs from them as well. We had gone to Shelley from Impressions but she was very expensive and very hard to get in touch with. Parchment had some of the same invitations that we had seen from her and much better to work with.

I am thinking of ordering the pockets from somewhere and all the inserts from cards and pockets since they have everything but the blue.

We used weddingpaperdivas.com and loved our invites and it ended up being chepaer than when we bought all the stuff to make our own so we returned it.

I think you really have to pick a few things to be your "wow" factor in a wedding. If you try to do to many thing you will end up burnt out.

I am just trying to say that you can do a ton of things with your invitations without trying to make them over the top or too costly. (I looked up those pocket envelopes and they are outrageous)

At dinner tonight my Moh and I looked at the samples from cards and pockets. We decided on a blue and green we like. The blue isn't exact...but she pointed out I would be the only who noticed. Lol sometimes I need to come back to reality I will check those out though!!

I also used paperandmore.com for my at home reception and was REALLY happy with them. The only down side is the amount that you have to order, but it ended up worked well for us b/c i was able to use the same pink for everything!!! I also have some left over for my scapbooks!!!

I think AlternateEgo is right! I was at a wedding show and one of the speakers said the invitations is a good place to cut back money when budgeting because they all end up in the trash anyway. I have experienced tons of people losing there invite etc.

I think if the blue is a bit off it will be fine! I'm sure everyone else will think they are beautiful! Good luck finding everything!

Thanks everyone! I finally decided to order from CardsandPockets. The blue is a tad lighter than I wanted, but who will notice, lol. They are really what I wanted, within our price range. Thank you for all the suggestions!
