I may stay for a few nights the beginning of February myself (I'll be in Florida for the winter) so I'm hoping I can get something with my AP or AAA..If not, I'll just drive back and forth from my sister's house - a little less than an hour away..

Anyone know if there's anything going on in WDW during late January to Feb. 14th that involves large groups similar to Pop Warner and such?

Me too...we are booked 2/2 to 2/6 at Poly with AAA rate...It looks like the next time AP rates are announced it will be for January and February of 2007 but that may not happen for several months!

We were there the first week of February this year and got a great AP rate of $49 a night at Pop. It was under the old Best Rate Program. I would guess that we should see a rate of $59 a night at the value resorts because that seems to be the set amount during value season. We found this time to go, nice and the crowds were pretty low this year. Last year 2005, we went the end of January and the crowds were also not bad. The only issue is that when the sun goes down.....whoa, it can get pretty chilly. We took lots of warm clothes and sweats. It got comfortable during the day, but mostly it was cold. Of course, still warmer than home in WV. A hot tub is a must if you can swing it. We usually stay a couple of nights at Pop then move to a DVC location. We are booked at the WLV starting Feb. 4 for five nights, so will be looking to stay at a value for the first couple of nights.

I think the mods are runing around $99 a night during value season with an AP rate.

We'll be there Feb 2-11.

I've been watching for codes, but I think that I remember it was in Nov sometime last year that Feb codes came out for general public. If I'm correct, it was something like free upgrading tickets to Hoppers.

I'm torn between hoping for a great discount like free dining to save money or something much less so the huge crowds won't be drawn like they apparently have been this fall. After all, why book in Feb if it isn't for the low crowd level? Anyone else feel this way or am I just crazy?

We are trying to plan a trip for Feb 11-17. Rate through AAA for 6 night, 7 day park hopper was about $111. less that the quote I was able to pull up off of the internet for Pop Century. I have never booked with AAA so I am not sure if that is a great deal or not. I guess any savings is better that none. I just wonder if something else will come out for room only that will be even less and make it worth wating for that instead of the package. I guess I will have to wait and see.
