Hello: I hope someone who lives in Florida or who has travelled at this time of year can help.

When would the weather and crowd levels be better; the first two weeks of february, or the last week of february/lst week march.

Thanks so much,

Deb.

Hi, cottontail! Here is a link to the average temperatures throughout the year in WDW. According to the link, February's average temperature is 62. Average high is 73 and low is 51. Hope this helps! :)

Both times should have similar weather, everything else being considered, but it all depends on the fronts that sweep down from the north.

Spring breaks determine the crowd sizes between the two dates. Maybe you should just choose either time depending on airplane fares, if you are flying, or your own timing.

Thanks, I put that weather chart in my favorites. I cannot tolerate the heat so I will have to pick something.

The weather can vary so much in Florida! :) My dh and I went during the first week of February one year and it was plenty warm enough to swim! Of course, we are from Michigan, so it was toasty to us down there. ;)

We found the weather to be very pleasant at that time of year. I don't like the heat either, and we've decided to stick with the months of December - February for most of our trips (though I have to admit that the weather we had in late May '02 was GORGEOUS ... but it was a fluke that it was as temperate as it was). Hope this doesn't confuse the issue more ... you just have to be prepared for anything when you go to WDW.

Hi Dizeeyore:

We are right next to you in Ontario, (we travel to Frankenmueth, and Birchrun Mall quite often) and we would be driving down. I wonder what the road conditions would be like then also.

The first two weeks of feb. are cheaper onsite than the last two weeks. I am basically looking for high 60.s or mid 70's, so dec, jan, feb beg march will fit the bill. I just have to talk hubby into it. lol

I want to tour the animal kingdom park again, but this time when it is not 90.

As far as going in February, be sure to steer clear of President's Day. The traffic in the parks pick up trememdously. I am planning on being there this February 8 for one week, my second trip at this time. The weather is great! But beware, the attendance in the parks begin to get out of hand as the holiday approaches.

I was able to pick and choose my week this year and I chose the first week in Feb because of airfares and the fact that it is still low season with Disney rates. As for crowds, it should be really slow (I say this with fingers crossed). You won't get the unbearable heat during this time either. We went this past May and I thought I was going to die - it was sooo hot and humid which is actually a little out of the norm. I was looking at someone's pictures from Febuary the other day and everyone in the background had spring coats or light sweatshirts on but were wearing shorts.

If you look at the airfares and the room rates you are going to see a huge difference - pick based on that - crowds may be pretty similar.

Oh, you mentioned the first two weeks of Feb. - you have to stick to the first week - not the second as the second vears close to February vacation time - bad, bad, bad time to go.

come on down the first week of february....we will be there staying at the all star movies....my mom lives in florida and the weather really varies...might have a chilly day and then a warm day....but yea stick to the first week cause after that your gonna start getting into busy season....:earseek:
