I stood beside a hill
Smooth with new-laid snow,
A single star looked out
From the cold evening glow.

There was no other creature
That saw what I could see--
I stood and watched the evening star
As long as it watched me.

Matt had an assignment last night to look at the night sky and draw what he saw......

Of course he drew all stars! (Well....round circles.....he's not much of an artist!)

Rather timely thread!

Interesting how I just knew that the Buds were focused on the stars last night!! ;) :)

Ooooh! That is a very beautiful poem! :)

Someone posted this link on another site. I think it's pretty neat!

It's a series of photos that will take you from 10 million light years away from the Milky Way all the way down to the electrons and protons of an oak leaf (so there is the plant part of the post!) ;)

Click on auto and it will go through the pictures for you, or click on decrease to move manually through the pictures.

This is one of those things that really makes you think about how we are all made up of the same stuff. Us, the rocks, bacteria, plants, stars, etc. Science is so cool! :)

VERY cool link, TigH!! :) My small fear of heights hardly bothered me at all!! ;)

I've never even heard of fentometers and attometers!

Thank you! :)
