February trip?

I am looking for someone to tell me about Disney in February. Weather....can you swim in the pools then? Will the new pool area at OKW be done by then? Crowds....going during the week off school at the end of month, so it is busy? We are looking at taking another family of 5 with us and booking at the OKW because of limited points we have. Definitely a 2BR option applies here. Any helpful information would be appreciated.

We've been at WDW in February three times. Two of the three the weather was fantastic! Mid 80's and sunny. The third time we were only able to swim one day, but had a great time anyway.

We've been the last week of March and had the same experience weather wise, but double the crowd. If dds weren't in school, I'd still be going in Feb.

I've been down there the last 2 Februarys, and will be going back this coming February.

This year, we had glorious weather. Upper 70s to low 80s, low humidity, lots of sun. Definitely swimming weather, although we were too busy enjoying the parks to get to the pool that time. Last year in February, the weather was also warm enough for swimming although it was very cloudy almost the whole time. The weather down there during the winter months can be beautiful or freezing or somewhere in between.

By the way, both times in February the evenings were quite cool. So it is important to bring along clothing you can layer, and be sure to have jackets/sweatshirts along. Especially if you plan to do outdoor shows or parades in the evening where you'll be sitting and waiting for a long time.

What are your dates in Feb.? President's Week is busy, though not nearly as busy as Easter or Christmas weeks. Last year, I was down the week after President's Week, and it was awesome. This coming Feb., I'll be down there the week BEFORE President's Week. Hoping the crowds will be less then too.

I'm from Maine, and back home, any time the pond ain't frozen is swimming weather, especially Florida .

We were there the week before President's day this year and the weather was great except for one night when it got quite chilly. We had packed jackets just in case so they came in handy.

The crowds didn't start appearing until the Friday before President's day and that was also the weekend of the Daytona 500 so that contributed to the crowds.

Overall such a great week we are heading down the same time next year!
