February trip thread!

Hi..... I just registered, but I've been lurking here for awhile..

My oldest dd and I are planning a trip to So. CA for 2/20-2/28 for her 16th birthday. We will be at DL from 2/24-2/28 and are staying at The Carousel.

I've not read all through this veeeerrrrryyyyyy long thread, but I was bummed to hear that The Blue Bayou will be closed the dates we'll be there. They open again on 2/28.

This is our first trip to DL, having gone to WDW last Jan.

Did you ask about BB when you called about Priority Seating? I have ressies for Saturday, Feb. 27 there. He told me they are open that weekend.

Just got off the phone with Disney Dining at DL and BB is open the entire month of Feb. They just got word last week that they are not going to be closed for the refurb as previously thought. Just thought I'd let you know!

I was just dialing the phone!!!! Thanks. We just made our ressie last week and no one mentioned a problem so that was news to me!

Glad we get to go even though the big changes in desserts.

Can't wait.

I need to call for Cafe Orleans ressies for DH birthday on the 5th. We are not sure who will be meeting us there so not quite sure how many to reserve for.

Sure! We want to go on the 5th. That is DrHug's birthday and gumbo, those yummy fries and beignets are his favorite meal at DL. I will have to let you know the time. Want me to add you on our reservation?

its ok most of my friends could pass as my mom and they are fun its ok I still have to do my lime green mickey head :/ lol, the heads is from home depot right? and then it is just putting the user name and laminating it right?

Good. We have many young friends too. Our most fun trip to DL was with the HS band with our grandson's friends. They thanked us for letting them "hang with us."
I don't have a lime green Mickey head done up yet either. I have a couple in my wallet, yes from Home Depot. Maybe I will get one out and put it on my backpack. Let's see, that means I need to find a hole punch or ..... just use a kitchen knife!

TWO WEEKS TO GO!!!!! I may actually explode before I get there. It is our first Disney trip and I am so ready.Our first two nights are in an Upper resort view at the DLH and then we move to a standard view for 6 nights. I hope we get a renovated room.
