 My family may be interested in a trip the week of
February school vacation 2-14ish. My wife is a teacher and busy times are the only option. We will stay on the monorail and want to know if there were any room only discounts last February?
And are the crowds during this time as bad as what I have read?
We did August this past summer.

Any help is appreciated!!!!

Why not ask DreamsUnlimited They are on these boards and they can give you a price ( no hassle ) I went on the site and they have been great. I would never hesitate to use them. Oh yeah and They're Free
Have a disney day:earsgirl: :earsboy:

I go the beginning of February each year. Crowds are great..I have never waited too long. Weather is cool ( for me being from S Florida) but I wear shorts during the day with a long sleeved shirt. It is the best time of year and the AP rates are GRRRR-EAT!

:teeth: I wonder what your idea of cool is? My idea of cool is
50-60degrees........... Do those small crowds stay manageable?

As long as you don't get close to Presidents' Week (2/21/05), you should be fine. We are from Michigan and love the weather in February. 50-70 degrees feels quite warm to us!!!

There are no room only codes at the moment for February, but we are all hopeful. In the meantime, you may want to book a room (perhaps you have AAA) and apply a code later, if possible. That's what we did. Also "value" season at most of the resorts runs until February 16th.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!

I get cool at anything below 70! HEY!! I am from South Florida. The coldest it has gotten has been in the 40's.

We've been there twice now during the first two weeks of February. The crowds are great and is a good time to go. The first time weather was in the 70's and 80's the last time we went it was rainy and in the 50's. (of course, just as we were leaving it was then in the 80's) So, it is all hit or miss. This year we went the beginning of March so the weather could warm up a bit and it was perfect and the crowds were not bad then either. It is really hard to predict what it is going to be like. You'll still have fun - we did even when we were all in sweatshirts and raincoats.

Last year we got a great discount and got a room only rate of $115 a night for standard view at AKL. I will warn you the deluxe resorts that see the best discounts are AKL and WL which are not on the monorail. I'm sure we will be seeing a discount soon, probably in November for the time you are going. If not - relax in knowing you are going during the Value season and are already getting a discount over other times to visit.

Just wanted to let you know that your dates include the mardi gras holiday this year...although there is a MASS exodus from the area, imo this does not impact the parks in any MAJOR way. Does bump up the crowds and you will see a lot of people from So. LA there at that time. Last two years this was not the case as dates were different.:D

We went this past February and got Pop for $49 a night. We were there the 11th through the 15th. The weather was cool - but I am a native Floridian so cold to me may be nothing for a northerner. The crwods were fine although they picked up as we were leaving for the President's day weekend holiday.
At MGM we rode and rode TOT and RnRC over and over, the crowds were so light. I loved it.
We would like to go back every year for Vday but if we go in 2005, we would be taking a brand new (maybe 2 week old baby)...not sure about that!
