February Question

We were going to stay at CBR Feb 2006 (11-15), but when I found out about the cheerleaders, I switched to POR. CRO was pretty nice about it; at first they wouldn't change my reservation, but after explaining that I would have picked a different Moderate had I been told about the cheerleaders, they switched me with no extra charge.

In the parks we didn't notice the cheerleaders at all. However, the weather was very very cold, so that may have affected the crowd levels.

We enjoyed that time period so much we are going again 10-15 Feb 2007.

We always go around this week. We stayed in 05 at All Star Music right in the middle of cheerleader central it seemed. Not bad at parks. Resort was a mess to get around they were everywhere. ( My 13 year old nephew was the only one that didnt mind in our group) Last year DH and I alone and stayed at Pop and only saw cheerleader sightings at DTD and that wasnt too horrible. So this year as we all go ( Dnephew is now 15) we are staying at Pop because of it and no one has told him yet..

Its so funny because its seems like so many people go during this time. And yet people still say crowds are not that bad. I am really worried about the weather. Packing for myself and 4 kids is gonna kill me. I heard to wear layers unfortunately thats lots of layers of packing for 5.

We'll be there for a quick trip Feb. 10-11 - I'm glad to hear the crowds are still low even with the cheerleaders. I don't mind them being there - it will be something to distract my non-Disney loving husband. This is the weekend of my daughter's birthday so I have a feeling we'll make it a tradition as long as we live in FL.

When we were there in 2002, we saw the cheerleaders often at MGM. They were actually really well behaved. A little loud (picture any group of 5-6 older teen girls together), but not obnoxious or rude.

I would not have even realized they were anything but a group of friends there for the day if they were not in full makeup and glittery hair!

We did see a few who probably could have picked a better outfit (would have been more covered in a bikini), but most of them were in their warm up suits, fully covered.

We will be there 2/5 to 2/15, and I am not worried about the cheerleaders at all. My 3 yr old is actually excited to see them.

Edited to add: Ok, I should have read FIRST. I just saw the post where someone listed the schedule for the cheerleaders.

My daughters were mad cause they think we won't be there for the cheerleaders , and my 14 year old brother well let me just say when they do get the suprise that we are going in February will be more than happy!
