When would you choose to go, early February or May, and why? Thanks for your recommendations!

My vote is May. I was there mid-May this year, and the weather was hot enough without being unbearably muggy. The closer you get to Memorial Day, the worse it gets, but I had great weather.

The Flower and Garden Festival is in full swing at Epcot, and they have terrific displays, plus the "Flower Power" concerts.

I didn't find the parks to be that busy, but I did use FastPass helpful at times.

If you're going in February, it might be chilly, and the crowds will be higher if you travel during Presidents' Week.

I would go in May (and I am next year!). February could still be cold, but if you don't mind that and if you won't be swimming in your resort pool a lot, then maybe February would be best due to lower crowds. I'm excited to see all the flowers at Epcot. More daylight hours is a bonus too. If you do go in May, be sure to find out when Florida schools get out... I think it's the middle of May.

DW & I are considering going in early February because it's the "low" season & because it's cooler. We usually go in June.

I am trying to make the exact same decision you are, so I'm anxious to see all the answers here. What is the average temp for February? I'd rather go then when it's less crowded, value season, and sooner. :teeth:

We went this past May from the 22nd to the 29th, and boy was I surprised with the crowds!!

Our last visit was May 2-9th, and it was the most perfect time, great warm weather, but low to mod. crowds.

I'd never go again in Late May, it was just too crowded.

Once the kids from down South, especially Florida, get out of school, (around the 15-20th of May), they converge upon Disney. I know this because I talked to alot of people at the hotel. They got Florida room only discounts at 50% off rack rate.

I'd go in February or early May. Also, I'd avoid President's week, my friend went during that week, and said it was also very crowded!

I agree with dixielander14004.........I was at disney may 22 thru 29, left right before memorial day.

I will NEVER go to disney again in the middle of may very crowded and HOT the last days we were there the temp was around 97 98 . I will take my child out of school for a week and go in Sept.

ps but still had a good time :D :D :D

I go each year at the first or second week of February...crowds are nowhere to be found and the cool weather is a blessing for this Floridian!
