February or April........

Can anyone tell us about mid February or April crowds? How about weather? Or anything in particular? Any info will be greatly appreciated! We have our next trip narrowed down between February or April. Overall, which month would be best overall?

February BEFORE or AFTER Presidents Week is a great time to go. It's not too cold (except some early mornings) and the crowds are not so thick. April is not such a great time to go. If you go the LAST week in April you may get medium sized crowds, but the rest of April will be PACKED since the grade schools are on Spring Break.

Presidents week? I must be missing something here. Why Presidents Week?
April was another choice due to spring breaks. We kinda figured the crowds would be terrible.

The kids have off on President's week. That's a huge vacation week for families. I'd definitely choose that week over April though. It will be crowded, but not THAT bad. My advice would be to definitely have a touring plan before you go in...If you have a good touring plan, you will not have to wait on any lines all day! Even in April.

Definitely BEFORE President's Week. We went the 9-16.....we left the Thursday before the actual President's Day. The crowds really started to pick up our last day or 2. Also, the rates will go into Peak instead of Value once you get to President's Week and I don't think they go back down for a while after that.

We loved going down in February. Crowds were very, very manageable. The weather is a little unpredictable. But just make sure to bring a variety of clothes. One BIG plus is that Feb is the driest month of the year. We had one day where it rained a lot, but it was just one day as opposed to DAILY rain showers that happen other times of year. Usually we started out the day w/ sweatshirts w/ t-shirts underneath. By mid to late morning we were very comfortable w/o the sweatshirt. We wore a lot of pants, but there were plenty of people wearing shorts. If you don't absolutely HAVE to go to the waterparks or beach, then you will be very happy going this time of year. It did manage to warm up to the low 80's our last day so we did get to use the pool then.

Wow! Kids have a whole week off for Presidents week? Our schools just give the Friday before and the Monday of Presidents week off.
