February or April School Vacations

In your opinions which is the better week to visit - February or April school vacation week? I'm mainly interested in which week is less crowded. I realize that weather is better in April, but when do more people go? Thanks!

If April school vacation week is within a week before or after Easter, go in February. However if Easter falls in March or early April, I don't think there would be much of a problem if you went in late April. I went this past Saturday and Sunday and it wasn't too bad.

Our spring break is always at Easter time. Next year easter is in the middle of April, so if you were thinking of going in 2006, I would vote for Feb.

being a teacher my choices are always last week of Feb last week of April so we have done both. Occasionally it is Feb 21-28 but mostly into march and April 20-27 but mostly into May. Here are the differences-crowds and weather- feb can be a bit less crowded but if you get up early either time is great- Feb weather is very upredicable we have had very very cold no higher than 50 most of the week and very hot in 01 it was 95-100 every day!! April's weather is perfect- crowds can be busy depending on easter and other vacations half my town was there one year Also in Feb one water park is usually closed for rehab ony us crazy northeners even use the pool. Also if you live in cold sometimes you just have to get away in Feb! 50 seems warm after months of snow! Good lcuk both are great times best if the week goes into the next month!

In the town where we live February vacation is the week of President's Day and April vacation is the week of Patriot's Day. Which of these weeks is less crowded in WDW?

As a previous poster said, it really depends on when Easter falls for the April vacation. This year, Easter was in March, and Massachusetts schools are on vacation next week, so I would have said April vacation is better THIS year. But forget next year. Easter is the Sunday of Mass. school vacation, so the parks will be packed. I'd pick February for 2006 and stay away from April.

You really need to look at when Easter falls.

Having gone to the parks at both times, I prefer April. Feb can be cold
and being from NE I want it to be warm when I go to Florida. I thought it was more crowded in Feb. We had gone once when Easter fell at the start of our vacation and it was crowded but not as bad as I thought it would have been.

We have done both, last year it was the easter/april one. In Feb. the weather is a lot cooler, but sure beats the snow. However, germs were just every where. My ds got sick from walking back from the school at night etc. I would rather put up with the huge april crowds for a little nicer weather and just use fastpass and have all my ps done before I leave home and take advantage of the emh hours in my plans.
