February Exercise Challenge!

Sunday, Feb 19 - 40 minutes treadmill and 15 minutes stepper.

I unexpectedly exercised 3 hours on Saturday!!!! I went for a training walk with a friend that ended up being 94 minutes. Then DD asked me to go to the gym with her and she had a plan to do certain stuff that ended up taking almost ninety minutes so I stuck it out with her.

Sat:
walking - 94 mins
bike - 40 mins
octane - 26 mins
pushups, floor and crunches - 20 mins

Today (Mon):
elliptical - 40 mins

Puts me at 1105/1500

I slacked today. My nephew was visiting and I spent the day running after three kids ages 4, 3, and 2. Even though it doesn't count as exercise, I think I burned some extra calories by playing with the kids and trying to keep my house from being destroyed. :lmao:

That is super-cool! Love it! Thanks for sharing! That reminds me that I have to come up with and start repeating in my head my mantra for Sunday's half-marathon. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" is always one of them, but I need another as well. I am thinking something to do with the Coast-to-Coast medal that I am going after is probably appropriate. LOL

Forgot to mention I got up and worked out to my new Taylor Swift "Speak Now" world tour DVD for 40 minutes. That was fun. It puts me at 1145/1500.
 
After a pretty sedentary last week...I only have another 40 minutes to add to my total. Can't say I'm not disappointed in myself, but I know I have to just bump it up this week to stay on track!! So I am now at 380/1000 for the month. That means I have to do 68 minutes each day to meet my goal. Between a 40 min. walk each night and 30 minutes of pilates each night, I CAN!!!
 
Cam--Thanks!! I am feeling better now and think I have finally kicked that awful cold! and I am starting to get back on track!!

Played hockey for 90 minutes on Sunday night
Yesterday I did a workout on the Kinect for 45 min

Total: 544/1500

Not likely to get my goal this month but I am going to see what I can get!
 
Saturday morning I set my alarm to go to the gym and then mom didn't want to go. No worries....
I did 40 minutes on Wii Fit Plus (yoga, strength, balance and cardio)
then 20 minutes on Just Dance II
then 15 minutes of "attempting" Zumba!

Monday we took the dogs on a walk in the park and completed a little more than a 5K. I believe it took us just about an hour - so that is another 60 minutes.

I am at 490/1200
I may not meet my goal for the month, but that won't bring my down, as I know I started a bit into the month...
 
Tuesday, Feb 21 - 20 minutes 30DS and 10 minutes treadmill.

2/21 AM 60 mins; 30 min strength/30 cardio

2/21 PM 60 mins; 30 crossramp, 30 treadmill

I'm really going to try to hit my goal this month! :yay:

I got up and worked out to Taylor Swift again for 30 minutes this morning, bringing me to 1175/1500. Work has been very time consuming and stressful so I haven't been carving out the time I should. Hoping to get it all under control soon.

I had 40 minutes this morning of walk away the pounds type exercise with core thrown in and then some cardio core. I am calling it 40 minutes even though it was longer. Can't figure out how to account for the short breaks, but I think this works. I am now at 1215/1500.

Aw. Thanks. :) This thread is inspiring me. And look at you 1215! Way to go! I'm determined to make my goal.

Thursday, Feb 23 - 40 minute Dance Party 2. I wasn't sure if this was going to be a good workout, but my heart rate was up between 130 and 144 the whole time. According to my cardiologist, my max heart rate right now is 138. Oops. I'll need to pay closer attention to my monitor next time. It was lots of fun though.

Doesn't look like I am going to make my goal this month.

waaaahhhhh i'm not going to make my goal. my mommy's helper who comes 3x/week is on vacation this week AND aerobics classes were canceled because of the holiday week so i didn't get a chance to run OR go to aerobics! and next week DH will be away all week so i won't be able to go to aerobics. waaahhhhh.....i moved a little here and there with taking the kids to the park and things like that but not enough to count as exercise.

i will do what i can this weekend while i still have DH and when the babysitter is here next week but making it to 1000 minutes isn't looking good. darn!!

ps - i know i could take advantage of naptime and move to a video or something but the kiddos don't seem to nap at the say time and i'm spent by 1pm and need to relax.
