We were at Disney and I wanted to share with you a quick review of our dining during our stay. We were on the regular dining plan: two adults, one 13 year old, and one child. We found the amount of food more than adequate. After experiencing the plan last year when it included app and tip, it was a bit troubling to have such large bills (apps and tips) at the end of each meal. I am not sure if we would do the dining plan again next year as both of our children will be considered adults. (This year our daughter was a child.) Also having to be someplace every night for dinner is a bit exhausting and also way to much food especially it you don't plan appropriately and eat your counter service too late in the day. The meals tend to back into each other.
Table Service Reviews
Spoodles (Dinner) - Service A, Atmosphere A, and Food A
My husband and I really enjoyed the food and we all enjoyed the atmosphere. It really is a lovely place. It is important to note that the food is a bit on the spicy side.
Chef de France (Dinner) - Service A, Atmosphere A and Food A
Excellent meal and very nice atmosphere.
Crystal Palace (Dinner) - Service B, Atmosphere D, Food C
This was a bit of a disappointment. The character interaction was very good but the place was very loud and very crowded. The food and its presentation are ok but nothing that I would feel the desire to go back for. The dessert buffet was really very poor.
Teppan Edo (Dinner) - Service B, Atmosphere B, Food B
We did enjoy this experience but feel that the hibachi style restaurant in the area where we live is almost just as good and more entertaining. We thought this restaurant in Epcot would be much more entertaining then it was. The food was pretty good but only a little better then that of our local restaurant.
50's Prime Time (Dinner) - Service A, Atmosphere A, Food B+
We really enjoyed this restaurant as it was a nice change of pace versus the typical restaurant. The server was entertaining but not over the top which would have intimidated my children.
Le Cellier (Dinner) Service A+, Atmosphere A, Food A
This was a really wonderful dining experience. Our server was great as was the food.
As far as counter service we ate at a variety of places and all were more than adequate.
Thank you to all that provided reviews as we were deciding our dining choices. I hope this helps those that are going in the near future.
Enjoy your trips.
