How are they? We're going the Thursday after President's Day, Feb 19th to the following thursday, Feb. 26th. Are the crowds as bad as the summer? We were there over Memorial Day weekend and over the Holiday weekend, it was very crowded and there were VERY long waits. How's February?? Oh, and what's the weather like? Being a New Englander, I can't picture anything but layers of LL Bean gear and lots of snow! :)

Feburary is great. We go about the second week of Feb and the crowds are almost non existant compared to that of holidays and the summer. Most attractions were less than a five minute wait but there were times we had to wait about 20 minutes. Not bad for Disney. As far as your week of travel, I would think that as long as you avoid the President's holidays, you should be ok. But I really don't think that it would be as bad as Memorial Day or summer. Hope this helps.

Divamomto3 - Great question, I was wondering the same thing. Maybe we will see you at the Swan, we will be there during the same time frame. I really hope the crowds die back down after President's Day. Does anyone have any experience with the week after Pres. week? Thanks!!

We went at almost the same time two years ago and found the crowds very manageable every day except for the Sunday that will be in the middle of your trip (we left MK because it was too crowded that day and hopped over to Epcot). We used Fastpass for all of our favorites and had plenty of time for everything else! One bit of advice re: weather - bring along a winter hat and some gloves, just in case - we went from temps in the 80's to record cold (30's) all in just a few days!!:D

Just a head's up! You will be having lots of southern visitors beginning the weekend of the 21st due to the mardi gras holiday for school children in N.O. The city pretty much divides into thirds - one third stays to participate in mardi gras - one third go skiing - yes that's right - we LOOK for snow - and the other third go to Disney World.

We were there 2 years ago for that week. Just a heads up that the metro nj/ny area have off all week for midwinter break. We were at the Poly and the CM told us we are 101% book.ed. We didnt even get our longhouse request. The weather was comfortable. Short sleeves and a jacket at night. My boys wore zip off pants for when it was hot in the parks. That only happened once or twice. We even heard 2 CMs at MGM mentioned how crowded the park was. Seemed liked everyone was buying tickets at the gate. Strange? This was after 9/11 when they gave lots of discounts to the rescue worker. Friends of ours included so it was pretty crowded then, maybe this year will be different. Also our dss got sick running back from the pool at night. A warm cover up is suggested. Also germs are abounding everywhere. We were suppose to meet some friends at the castle. LOL our one ds was throwing up and they had to run to centra care as their dd had an ear infection. They consumed about 7 hours for that, Be prepared. With good planning you should do fine. I would also make any PS you want to make for the popular places or you could get disappointed if you try to walk up.

We have almost always gone at this time of year (and will be there next year). Ours kids have vacation the week after presidents' week and into the first week of March (so in 2004 the Saturday is the 21st. The first weekend can be a little crowded because it is the end of presidents' week and most people don't leave til Sunday.. so if you are there on Sat - I would stay away from MK (general rule for a saturday anyway :).

We have rarely seen really big crowds or long lines and if for some reason we hit a long line, we just go somewhere else and come back as it will shorten quickly. It's a great time of year weater-wise. We are usually in shorts most of the time - everyone once in a while we hit a day or 2 where we need a sweatshirt or pants (but coming from VT we have them as that is what we had to wear when we left :).
