Sue, you brought up Key West recently and I'm not sure what we're doing while in port. This is also a cheapie (ha, Disney? cheap?) vacation and we don't have excursions booked. I think we're doing a beach in both Cayman and Cozumel. But Key West I'm stuck on. The pirate museum looks really cool but when you buy 5 tickets it adds up! Those darn kids! I'm going to post on the main board in just a minute about free things to do in Key West. Maybe someone will come up with a good idea.

We're in the same boat for Key West. Only things we know we want to do are Mass at St. Mary Star of the Seas, a visit to the Southernmost Point, Sloppy Joe's for lunch (I think our DS is convinced that Sloppy Joeys, as we call them at home, are named after HIM) and the Sunset Festival if timing/location will still allow us to get back on the boat in time. As for Cayman and Cozumel, do you know which beaches you are going to do? I'm in the process of trying to figure out where to take the boys (they're perfectly happy with the beach route which is good since they're a little young for excursions yet). I'm still thinking Chankanaab for Cozumel just because it looks like it's somewhere in between a regular beach and an all-out eco-theme-park like Xcaret (which is a bit on the pricey side). Grand Cayman-- NO idea :confused3 Guess all that gives me something to work on between now and then, haha :surfweb:

Thanks for the information you have shared
J&AMom, like how I shorten your name, anyway, what you have planned sound like a lot of fun. How are you getting to the southern most point?

I know we have to get the keylime pie on a stick that I have read about. I think I need to get a map of the area that I had heard other talk about, that shows the location of tourist places and places to eat. I have only done the Eastern and we always had 2 days to plan things out from all the maps from the shopping/excurision classes they had on board and talking with others we met onboard, but I don't know what they do the the Western, if they have recomendations for those that don't want to do excurisions. It says that we are supposed to get in at 11:30, so just in time for lunch and then wondering for the rest of the day all aboard it at 7:30 based on the web site.

As for the other two stops we just want to do a little shopping and check out a beach maybe...

KEY LIME PIE ON A STICK?! where was that post? do we get that in key west (makes the most sense.....)!! that might just have to be a diet killer for moiiiiiii!!! WOOHOO:yay:

oh boy. lets see how good i am at walking you through this. here is how i did it. :surfweb:
1. go to the original image Susan posted. Right click and save it somewhere on your computer.
2. Then use a hosting website, i use www.imageshack.us -its free and you do not need an account, others use photobucket- click on browse and locate the image on your computer
3. once you select the image click host it
4. select the link for forums - right click and copy it
5. go to your dis signature select the icon that looks like a mountain on a postcard- paste your link there and save it ( you can preview it to make sure it worked)

There may be an easier way but I have not figured it out!

Let me know if you have any ?????'s GOOD LUCK! :thumbsup2

First-- Good morning everyone!!!! :wave2:

No idea, haha  Since the island is so small, I was either going to do the self-guided walking tour (I'm sick-- I LOVE to walk... Have done it competitively for the last 4 years), or, if the boys aren't so pumped up about walking, then maybe rent a golf cart (I think I saw that somewhere?). Is it true that the island is only like 1.5x3 miles? I'll need to do all the walking to work off the conch fritters I plan on gorging on :-)

PrincessMeesh-- Wow... to be AT work at 4:30? What time to you have to wake up to do that??? I'm cursing when I have to drag myself out of bed at 6:30 to get everyone ready for school, haha :faint:

Can you belive I posted about 10 times on Sunday and not once yesterday!!! I need my fix ;) .

I posted a question a short while ago but it was probably lost in my long-winded post. Here it is again:

Anyone rent a tux from the cruise before? Did you find they fit well, price was good, etc...?

I'll check in again and say hi. Gotta run and finish up some important PTO stuff or at least that's my intent.

Toodles,
Dee

Hi princessmeesh, I too check the boards as soon as I get to work. I don't start as early as you but 6am is early enough for me!!

Hi Dee, We never rent a tux on our last cruise, so I cann't help you there. We just bought our stuff with us.

JRandAJsMom we were thinking of doing the self guided walking tour too. We like to walk as much as we can.

Pam

i have been getting up between 2:15 and 3 am for 14 years now so believe me i NEED my dd's to sleep at the very least to 6 am this cruise for some long needed REST but for some reason, my kids get hit with non-sleeping fairy dust CONSTANTLY!! UGH~! thanks for tuning in! now you can listen earlier tomorrow as we are signing off soon!

I made the mistake of rereading the posts since Sunday morning I may have missed and found Michelle's link to her radio station. I'm listening to her right now until she's done at 9 am.

You sound awesome Michelle. I wasn't looking as a stalker, don't have a choice but to see your pix on the website, what a pretty woman you are.

So...which one of us Valentine Voyagers is going to dance with a lampshade on their heads on the piano and end up as part as Michelle's morning show topic :lmao: Not me, at least not intentionally!

We have a celebrity among us! Do we have anymore? Or...Who do people tell you look like or remind them of? When I was young and thin I heard things like you look like...BUT now, uhmm, not so much. In my own mind and in the pitch dark I'd say I look like...Angolina Jolie :lmao: I'm amusing myself with that. Really? I'd say the closest celeb I look like is probably Winnie the Pooh pooh: , loveable, cute and round-ish, not yellow just pale-white. I'm not a sun worshiper in that way.

~ Dee

Michelle, it must also be very rewarding. It must offer a great deal of ways for you to give back to the community. I'm basing that statement on the radio shows I grew up with and listen to know. The Jocks get to rally crowds for so many wonderful causes and get to participate in so many of the wonderful causes as well.

We'll all have to listen for a Valentine Voyager shout out some day.

I put the link in my "Disney" folder in my favorites... Our radio stations here STINK (sorry Wheeling), so now I have something worth listening to :cool1: Now I'm going to have "This One's for the Girls" in my head all day, haha :)
