February 4th, 2012 MAGIC 7 night Western cruise

I just called to find out what movies are scheduled to play during our cruise. The list is subject to change of course, but here it is:

Real Steel (not sure if I'm spelling that right)

The lady I spoke with first told me she didn't know and I couldn't find out until I got aboard the ship. I told her I've called and found out in the past so she put me on hold and then came back to give me the list and thank me for teaching her something new. I love how Disney guest services is always so nice!

So excited - but exhausted already! Packing is almost done - just a few odds & ends to take care of.
We will be wearing blue tees that I had made up for the cruise - they have an embroidered ship on them with "Disney Magic" and our last name - CASTELLI. I hope it will be easy to recognize our group.

I like the way you think. Never been a big fan of sake...had one that I liked, and it was given to us by tablemates (that we'd never met before) at Benihana. I think the reason I liked that one was that it was warmed. I tried warm sake again after that, and liked it less than some room temp ones I'd had, so I decided I'm not a sake person and that one that I liked was a fluke

I gotta git outa here! 10 more hours of work. One more day...+ a little....packing almost done....rain/snow forecast....how can I concentrate?? So much to do, so little time! One more lunch time...DH due home tonight-late-and puppies off to doggie care tomorrow...I'm so ready to be out of here...

Oh, yeah--do I bring our local wine or not? Anyone please let me know...

Our studio is open until 8 tomorrow so that should keep my mind occupied. ..... I hope.

In 48 hours, I will be FEASTING at Rose and Crown. Can you believe it? My dietician wanted me to take THEIR supplements and drink my breakfast and lunch! My answer--Really? REALLY??? I'm going on a cruise! When they asked again, I said, I'M GOING ON A CRUISE!!!!! A DISNEY CRUISE!!!!

I'll certainly watch what I eat! I'll watch our servers bring it to the table and then watch it disappear! And "no alcohol"? Well, do I have any control over that pesky little drink of the day? Is it MY fault if my darling husband orders the WRONG drink? I certainly don't want to cause any server a problem. I will force myself!

One more day of pseudo chocolate, and soy protein. No offense to anyone, but I've eaten more soy and pseudo food in the last 3 months than I ever thought I would!

Rant over! Expectations high! Prayers out for good weather for all heading south! See y'all soon!

I feel like those of us who haven't left yet should be wearing the big, white Mickey hands as we wave goodbye to you lucky folks who have started vacation already! If you're near the windows or open deck and can see the terminal when we leave port on Saturday,you'll see what I mean.

Just have to get though work today and I'm set. My DH still is trying to fit all his stuff in his bags, I would offer some of my space but that means what will I leave home. I probably have over packed but who knows I might need everything I packed. I'm sorry but he's on his own. Am I being unfair? Should I give him some of my space?

Hi everyone!! We are back from the trip (with only a 2 hour drive and a short stopover in Downtown Disney we were home around 1:30 today). I hope everyone else is having a good trip home as well. We had a great cruise despite some of the questionable weather (Key West, I'm looking at you). We randomly got trading pins in our Fish one day... was that pixie dust from someone here???

We got back to the Philly area at 5:30, and now there is snow on the ground! Hard to believe we were laying on the beach yesterday! What an awesome cruise!!! We miss the ship terribly and can't wait until our next cruise!

We arrived here in Md around 7pm last night and had to pick up my puppy from my sister's. We got home at 9:30pm. It was so nice to meet everyone last Saturday, it's too bad we didn't see many of you through out the cruise, since we were traveling without kids we spend most of our time in the adult section of the ship and on the adult beach at Castaway Cay. Thanks so much for all the FE gifts, it was fun to return to our stateroom and find goodies in our pockets of our FE.

We had such a great time and will return in 2014. We purchased a future cruise during Dec, 2013 with the idea of changing to a 2014 cruise. Now I have another count down to look forward too.

We made it back to sunny North Dakota (it's 35 degrees) today at 4:00. We all had a great time and have booked our next trip sometime in the future.

The girls had a blast checking out the FE each day and loved it all. We had a full suitcase of goodies on the return. THANK YOU ALL!!!

I hope you all enjoyed your vacation and made the best of the Pixie Dust and clouds that sometimes came around.

Hi Everyone

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for the wonderful FE gifts - you really made our first cruise magical!
Also, I'd like to apologize for dispensing all my gifts on the first night and missing the meet & greet . I didn't know that my family - well my husbands family - had a few things planned. As I had mentioned before, the purpose of this cruise was to celebrate my in-laws 50th Wedding Anniversary. I hope you all liked your gifts - we had so much fun making them. I hope to keep in touch with you - please PM me if you want to exchange info for future post cards

We did the first martini tasting. I didn't like that it was in Animator's instead of Sessions... but found out that's because there was a wedding in Sessions. It was good... but we've done the martini tastings many times so we know most of the info and most of the martinis. We had a gin martini (then we could turn it dirty), appletini, another gin one but with juice and stuff, a chocolatini and one with passionfruit and coconut. The last one and the flavored gin one were the only ones new to me.

Okay, enough of my tantrum...

We had a great week and I hope you did as well. I'm sorry we didn't make it to the meet the first day but sometimes things go that way. We so enjoyed all the treats in our FE - thank you to everyone! It was fun seeing all your Fish Extenders as well while we made deliveries. Intlmanofmystery's throng caught us putting stuff in their extenders but other than that, we were decently sly.

I think we heard the Bobrowski family's name during the crab races on Castaway Cay - hope you won! We were just down the hall from them as well!

What were some of your favorite moments? I know some were disappointed about the rain at Key West but I'd rather be on vacation in the rain than not. I watched us sail up to Key West and spent some of the time there from a Villa Spa. Maybe the rain didn't bother me because I was in a jacuzzi, having a massage and facial and then eating fruit and tea while relaxing.

I swore I would avoid the Future Cruise desk but, alas, I am weak and have booked a date for another cruise. lol
