I would be game for a meet and greet. Does someone want to pick a time and place? This is our first Disney Cruise so I'm not much help on locations???

A meet & greet on the morning of Day 6 might be fun - by then most of the kids will have received their FE gifts which might be fun to laugh about. Some of the gifts are often so simple but thoughtful its amazing somebody thought of it! Day 6 is also a day at sea so most schedules should line up. Some groups meet at a particular breakfast location as well and have breakfast that day. Also, many FE groups will wear some distinguishing feature during the cruise which may help us identify one another earlier as well (on our last cruise we met some of the FE folks in the Disney Terminal waiting to board the ship). Everyone on the cruise gets a badge holder / pouch that you wear around your neck to hold your Cruise Ship Card and I.D. and most wear it frequently.

We could agree on wearing a certain color string/yarn/sticker on a certain side of our neckpouch (ok lame but it's the best I could think of) - then you might meet or recognize the FE group anywhere. We actualy "caught" some in our earlier FE group delivering gifts to other staterooms and had learned many of their names / internet handles by the end of the cruise. My wife wife and our neighbor's wife were in the restroom during dinner when another women in the RR asked my neighbor's wife if she was Intlmanofmystery's husband - we all got a laugh out of that

Hi everyone - can't believe our cruise is almost here!

I want to send out a BIG thank you to Sharon for organizing the FE

This is our 1st cruise therefore our 1st FE - so excited to distribute all our treats. Hope you like them - just putting the finishing touches on a few items.

Question: Are we planning a meet & greet? I would love to meet as many of you as possible We visit WDW at least once a year & I send Post cards to all my friends - old & new. The list is up to 60 families!! My goal is to get to 100!

Sounds like a good idea to me! Since I have never been on a Disney cruise can we change the strong/yarn on the id holders easily? Just wanted to say a hello to intlmanofmystery & family as though I live in Atlanta now I am from Chicago and maybe you could add a good chicago hot dog and some pizza to my FE gift! LOL - can not get that her in ATL. If anyone has any other ideas shout them out as would like to say hi to all.

I'm actually originally from Canada but have been living in the Chicago NW Burbs since 1998. Went on a cruise in 1996 and met a girl (now DW) and moved here in 1998. Seems like cruises keep popping up in my life

I will be putting together a guide for you that includes a map of the staterooms participating along with who is in each room so that it will be easier to make deliveries. I'm still trying to figure out the best system to get this info to you. I may need to collect email addresses but watch for instructions.

In previous cruises, when people have wanted to join the FE exchange after the deadline, they are welcome to do so but just need to be aware that some participants have finished shopping or making gifts so you might not receive everything. Those of us who haven't finished or have extra trinkets will include your party in our deliveries.

Let me know if that's okay with you and, if it is, send me your information (stateroom numbers and list of who's staying in each room, including ages of those under 18) and I'll add you.

I believe Goofy's DFriend is an adult, but perhaps Goofy could correct that if it's incorrect.

I've been trying to find out how old Meghan is. MeghanElizabeth, please let us know.

I did offer the newcomers the chance to join. If they send me their info, I'll include them on the list. You can look back at their post for specifics - I'll list it if I get a stateroom number.

We would be interested in a meet - maybe a meal or meeting up for ice cream. Count us in!

I need to get working on my gifts. I think we're going to make a new FE that includes our DD's friend who is coming with us. I'm starting to make lists and checking off what we have. I think the cruise is actually happening!!!!!

I like the idea of an ice cream social, is there a place onboard the ship where we can meet for this greet and meet and eat ice cream? This is our first Disney cruise as well and not familiar with the ship. It's hard to believe we sail in less than a month. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

There's soft-serve ice cream at Goofy's Galley on Deck 9 aft (not all the way back - that's the buffet) on the starboard side. There are tables close by, although they're pretty filled up on sea days. Just a thought.

That sounds good I too am NOT familiar with cruising - our first as well. I think if we set a time and a general meeting area - like the ice cream bar mentioned - someone can go a bit earlier than the scheduled meeting time ( I wouldn't mind doing that) and grab a table or two. I can make a sign - we can name our group too!

I had also suggested that we meet up for the Super Bowl but just not sure where it will be shown on the ship.

But I do like the idea of a sign and group name even if it is just as simple as FE.

Does anyone know how popular it is to dress up in costume for the Pirate Party on deck? For both adults and kids? Does DCL provide any accessories or party favors for this?
