February 27, 2011 - 4 Night on the Disney Dream!

yep just add yourself to the spreadsheet! I am thinking we will take sign ups till January 10th? that gets us past Christmas? Does anyone have objections to that date? If you want to get a start on things you can see who has signed up already and know a tentative number but the final number will be jan. 10th?

Any discussion?

Krisann

Krisann:

Is there any way to get in on this a little late? We just booked last week...thanks!

Wow our little thread is hopping with FE excitement!! We had a snow day today so me and the 3 little men (plus a smiling princess) got busy working on our FE stuff!! We all had colds so no playing in the snow this time;)
In oklahoma you never know snow one day 80 degrees next day!
Has anybody figured out how many FE's we are up to yet? And how many adults per cabin and how many kids per cabin? This is our first FE and we are so excited! I told the boys it is more fun to leave treasures for other people to make their trip more magical than to recieve so they are really helping out:cheer2:
Another question??? Do most people dress for dinner (on pirate night) and then go dress for the party? I really don't want my kiddos wearing pirate attire to dinner but was wondering what most do?
My baby is smiling and giggling so much now she is such a happy baby and soooo easy I so hope she stays this way for the trip! I hope she is not afraid of Mickey and Minnie. With 3 brothers she is used to alot of craziness so I hope it lasts. I didn't book any flounders I have never left my kiddos with people I don't know I hope I don't regret that:rolleyes1

I am going off the current Google spreadsheet list on page 21 still. Families entering info late doesn't faze me, as I made sure to order a few extra gifts! The spreadsheet lists the number and ages of kiddos, so you can get that number from there. Just remember to see if the families on sheet want to participate in the FE...I counted all names on the list in my first count, then realized there are quite a few who don't want to do the FE.

I PM'd Krisann just to see if she needed any help...this is no small task to organize and we all have lives outside of here (we have to pay for these cruises somehow;)), but final numbers, I am sure, will be coming up soon!

I am torturing myself seeing all the updates on the Dream Christening cruise, but it is getting me so much more excited! I just wish it were a 7 night...4 nights is just a tease...so much to see!!!

Sorry everyone - got sick this week and thought the FE info had gone out to everyone!

I am putting the final info up on the spread sheet ASAP - should be there in the next few hours.

Are you guys taking anymore people for the FE exchange? We are new to the Disney Cruise and trying to figure all of this out. :) If you guys are accepting anyone new, we'd love to participate. We'll be in room 9112 and we're two adults and an 8 year old boy.

You are in the count! make your plans now!

Krisann

Please note updated adult count for FE: 39 - all numbers are updated and I hope I counted correct - if anyone finds a mistake let me know please!

FE info is now finished - now on to wristbands and Secret Mickey!

Krisann

I think I came up with a total of 88 cruisers for this cruise.

I would like to have something to identify all of us as part of this group and I do not think the lanyards are the most cost effective way to go but silicone wristbands are a great way!

we have 2 choices:

Lime Green with wording (maybe: Dream Cruise 2-27-2011 )

or glow in the dark with Lime Green words above

The company I use may not be the cheapest BUT they have 3 sizes so the little kids can have them too that do not fall off AND I have ordered from them before and trust the quality and shipping times.

The Lime green ones would be .75 each
the glow in the dark would be 1.00 each

So we can do this one of two ways:

If I have 6 people willing to donate $10 each (for lime green) or $13 (for glow in dark) we can give them as a gift to everyone (the easiest way) or if we have more willing to donate then it will be less per person. I can collect all the money via paypal or on board. This is what I did on the WBTA in 2010 and it worked great.

The other way is to pay per person based on the prices above. It is a lot more paperwork on my end but I will do whichever the group wants (if at all)

I am willing to donate . . . PM me if you want to donate.

I will baggie them all up and have them ready for pick up at our meet.

How are we going to arrange the room tours?

not sure - here is who has said they would do the cabin tour:

dzneynut yes
daisy37 yes (9b)
disnemimi yes 10614
diznefamily yes 6588 (4D)
cfwallen " Yes
two-foxes Yes/12000
billinaz YES/12506
love2disney Yes/7646 Cat 4c near aft elevators
cwdefouw Yes/9672 (Cat6A-Stern)
KrisannB yes/6514 (cat 8a - double porthole)

so is everyone still in that is above?

we need to come up with a time. Who is taking this part on? I just collected the list ;)

Thanks for doing this.
We would be happy with either lime green or glow in the dark.
I've sent you pm about donating.

Has a meet time/place been set?

We are still in, but it looks like you already have a Category 6A cabin. Ours is #10158 aft. I guess you figured out it's just two adults in our cabin, but young at heart! ;)

Yes I found where it had just the 2 adults - sorry I did not see it earlier.

I am not in charge of the room tour but I would think it is ok to have 2 of the same category - especially at different ends of the ship - might be laid out differently - different view, etc.

Krisann

I can get the room tour going.

If you said you were interested....give input on WHEN you'd like to do it.

I would love embarkation day (before it looks like a tornado hits our room)!

Would embarkation day OR the sea day work best for everyone? Please pick one!

The suggested times would be 2:30 on either day. Muster drill starts at 3:30 embarkation day, and Lou's tours go from 1-3 on sea day, for those doing his activities (if sea day is chosen, we may look at a 3:00 start time).

I can open our stateroom up for the first tour and we can proceed down decks from there.

If most of the folks are involved in Lou's Cruise, it may be a moot point..so let me know if you are booked for that.

I would rather get it going early before the tornado leaves your cabin and hits ours.

I dont even know where the Lou's cruise is ... but maybe we should try to consolidate them.

We are going room to room so we will be exploring the ship! Id like to try for before the drill on Sunday.

The sea day would be my second choice.

I was thinking we could easily slide those who are not booked for the WDW radio cruise in with the WDW room tour. That is why I want to see who is interested in the tour who is also booked thru MEI for his cruise.

I think you are right..I am going to edit my above post about the days....

So I'm a bit confused, I thought I understood the FE but now I'm not sure. Do we buy something for every cabin? For some reason I though we'd all each exchange with one other cabin but they wouldn't know who has them. Can someone clarify for me. If we wanted to get something for each person, than we need to bring 68 things and just do it once???

If I am not mistaken, you are talking about the Secret Cabin Mickey. I have never done that, so I am not exactly sure how it works. The list you have quoted is for the FE gifts. Those can 1 gift for each cabin or one gift for each cruiser or a combination of both (which we may end up doing.) We have gotten a baggie full of candy, pencils and stickers, a magnet (examples of gifts for a stateroom) or we have gotten lanyard charms or mini antenna toppers (which we got one for each of us in our room.)

I am planning on giving the adults and teens and older kids each one of one gift, and little tots/infants, if more than one to a stateroom, will share one of a another gift. It is what works for YOU!
