Has anyone received their cruise documents in the mail yet?!?!?

Not here, but mine will have to go through my TA before they come to me I guess. I think they just started getting them this week for the Feb 19th cruise so I expect we might start seeing them sometime this week. I'm excited to get our documents.

Hello everyone. Hope you're having a good day. The Disney Dream's maiden voyage starts today. The ship will leave Port Canaveral around 5pm. Very exciting.

Our fish extender gifts are done. I have all our clothes ready. I can't wait.

So...are we going to have our meet at 3pm on the 26th in the Promonade Lounge? Looking forward to meeting you all.

I have also been busy....
FE is done last weekend and if I do say so myself, it turned out super cool! My daughter found some trim with Mickey Mouse cutouts hanging down from the ribbon...really really cute. A must see!

Gifts are also coming along great...many deals to be had around town! I scored some post Christmas stocking stuffers for 70% off; cute Disney stuff they were just giving away...who can resist. Just need to take some time and enlist my IT department (14yr old dtr) to complete my adult gifts

As for the sea sickness...I for one do get ill. I have a prescription from the dr for 'scopalamine' patches, you apply one every 3 days, so I got a qty of 4 to last the trip. Your doctor should be pretty good that you can just call and ask for medication to be called to the pharmacy. I have used the dramamine but it will make you tired.

Next on the list: Pirate costumes, pattern pieces cut out but just need some time to sew.

I just called to redeem my Visa rewards and the card will arrive in plenty of time. Crazy to think we have used this card for everything over the last 2 years and my dream dollars will pay for our hotel on the grounds and maybe a day pass for 1 child.

Expecting SNOW here again Friday night but nothing like the east coast...just keep those snow flakes away on 2/22 when my families plane leaves Milwaukee!!!

Unfortunately Mike and I have to arrive day of. I have a show Friday night and I just can not miss it. So we will get up early and arrive at the airport at 10:55am. I am crossing my fingers that we have good weather here so we'll make it!

Thats cutting it close.....I hope weather and the airlines go in your favor. We are similar. My son and daughter have exams on the Wed, Thur and Fri before the cruise. For the last two years, the school has let them write the exams early, so we planned accordingly. Nope, not this year. The only exam they can write early is the Fri exam. So after the Thursday exam, we pack them up and drive south for 22 hours. We should be in Orlando Friday night at about 6pm, baring any weather or mechanical or traffic issues.

The excitement is starting to rise, woo hoo!!!

Have not received any documents yet. I keep asking the Fed Ex man does he have something, but so far he says No!

School was out for two days this week, we were hit with 11" snow. Things were so bad that our two main highways Rt. 70 and Rt. 270 were at a standstill for hours. Friends left work in Baltimore at 4 PM and arrived home at 12:30 AM. Now we are hearing on the TV that round two may occur next Tuesday/Wednesday. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the weather cooperates for us all when it comes to traveling to Florida.

I picked my daughter up from school yesterday and she started singing (without any prompting) 4 Friday's until we are on the Mickey Boat. She was so excited!

So this week I booked our rental car in St. Maarten. One more thing on my to do list down.

This weekend my goal is to find myself a new swimsuit.

My other goal for the weekend it to finish my eldests sailaway dress (it just needsw a ruffle), hem the baby's sailaway dress and finish the baby's Cinderella dress.

I have been reading some of the reports on the Dis Boards and came across one that said you no longer need to wear your life jackets to the muster drill. It seems that the new jackets on the Dream are much bulkier and so there is not enough room for everyone to do the drill with their life jackets on - It kind of makes you wonder how that would unfold in a real emergency where you would need them. Not that I think anything would happen. Anyway because the Dream does not wear them it has been decided that the Wonder and the Magic no longer will require their passengers to wear one. I have some great photographs from our first cruise during the muster drill, I'm a little sad that I won't get to take pictures this time, oh well! not to worry, I'm sure I will have plenty of other picture opportunities

Has it been decided when we will have a gathering? I like the idea of Saturday afternoon and now that we do not need to get back to the rooms to get life jackets we can go straight to the drill. One other point is that there is no scheduled activities that afternoon so no-one should miss anything unless you do the tour of the ship and then you may make the gathering a little later. Maybe we could meet at 3:30 PM. Just my thought, but really am open to any other suggestions I can hardly believe that in four short weeks we will be on the high seas

We also will be traveling with my sister, her DH, DS12, DS6 and last but certainly not least our Mother We are all arriving on Feb. 23rd and will be staying at BLT (we're DVC members) in addition, upon disembarkation we will be staying at BCV for our last 4 nights. Two Disney filled weeks I just placed our Garden Grocer order and came over to the Dis boards and stumbled onto this thread Oh Happy Day!!!!

Hello and aboard to you and your family. My DH and I are also DVC members...we will be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge...before and after the cruise. A friend of mine uses Garden Grocer and she loves it. Looking forward to chatting and meeting you onboard.

LadyKay. We are DVC members too and will be staying at the BLT on the Friday night. We are myself, DH, DS16, DS15, DS11 and will be traveling down from Maryland on Thursday evening/Friday morning. Looking forward to meeting you onboard. Maybe we will bump into each other at the BLT.

Has anyone else received their tickets yet? We received a booklet with luggage tags, but no tickets Do we even get tickets? When I opened up the envelope and saw what was in it the first thing my son said was "Where's the tickets you need to scrapbook them" He knows me too well. Just wondered if anyone else received the same thing.

Here is Maryland we are waiting for the big ice storm to hit us as I'm sure a few others on this thread are too. Hopefully it will be all done with before the end of the month

Thanks for the warm welcome, much appreciated in our -25 degree weather.

We did get our cruise documents on Friday. A cute, well organized booklet detailing our cruise, booked excursions, spa etc...
This is our second Disney cruise and I do believe the booklet does classify as "cruise tickets".
So excited for our upcoming cruise and not having to cook for 2 whole weeks
