Hey, we're still here. Just finishing putting everything into the bags and weighing them (don't want to bust that 50 lb mark). All I can say is thank G-d for space bags! Otherwise we would never fit everything into the suitcases . . .

Ilene is still not feeling well. If we weren't leaving today, she would be in bed. Another good night sleep should help.

We are leaving in about two hours to head to the airport. See everyone tomorrow!

I'm still here, but leave very early tomorrow morning for the airport. We have to leave our house about 6:00 am to make it to the airport. It's about 30 miles from here, but at that time of day on Saturday, we shouldn't run into any backups. During the week it's a different story.

I'm packed, except for the last minute items, which will be put in the carryon bag tomorrow.

We are supposed to have good weather tomorrow morning, so hopefully will get out of Norfolk on time. I look forward to meeting everyone.

Melanie, it looks like you may be the last one on this board, and will have to turn out the lights.

Hi everyone -
I hope you all had a good trip back home. Ours was good, but long . . . .

We had such a great time meeting everyone. Our boys are still talking about their friends. I sure hope we can cruise together again. Somepoint in the near future, I'll post a trip report on the trip board (link here as well).

OK, who rebooked while on board? We did!

We're booked for Feb 3rd next year on the Eastern cruise this time. They gave us a great rate (just about what we paid for this cruise), plus the $200 stateroom credit. I'm not sure about the school schedule yet, so we may change the date.

Now if the laundry would just wash itself . . . .

What a great trip, and seeing friends from the board everywhere really made the difference. Thanks to everyone who stopped to chat with me (I can get long winded at times!)

Cajun Princess - Thanks for bringing all the beads, they were a great hit! Grace was such an accomplished mardis gras bead tradeder that I decided that she could start pin trading! SEE PHOTO BELOW!!!

December Roses - I hope you had a great birthday and that you enjoyed your PALO dinner.

Rjh8115 and BusyMomIAN8115 - Rick and Illeene I had a great time chatting about our home areas with together! However I am glad that I missed some of Ricks dinner conversations (just how many coffins are there on a ship?)

Mr508MA and MoiraD - Jeff and Moira The line for the dessert buffet was worth the wait (and the weight!)

Edinafabs - Susanne - Sorry that Olivia wasn't so into the clubs, but boy she and Grace sure had a great time at the Budget rental office! Perhaps we should save some money next time and just have them play there

Dreammakermom - Karen your family is beautiful, and everyone in your group was so friendly! Your car game on the trip to the ruins was not only a lifesaver, but also a huge hit! Audrey even suggested playing it on the way to the airport on Saturday (and then promptly fell asleep) I hope to hear from some of them here soon! BTW Grace escorted each one of us down the hall to your rooms to show us where you lived.

Kshabare - Kim and Norm we enjoyed your family very much. It seems that we saw your smiling faces everywhere! I'll send you some shots of all of us in the ocean at Costa Maya.

Best moment of the trip - At the end of the last show when my 8yo DD
(who insisted all week that "there's no such thing as magic" and rolled her eyes at me everytime I pointed to a Princess) turned to me and said "I'm trying not to cry" and then burst into tears climbed in my lap and said "I don't want to go home. I just want to stay here and swim everyday"

Worst Moment of the Trip - Getting back to Detroit Metro Airport to find a dead car battery, and no pixie dust to fix it. I quickly remembered that not everyone in the service industry is as kind Disney CM's.

Funniest Moment of the Trip - Well, there are many. For now it's a tie. Driving in a cab to Majhaul, Bob says "As soon as we get back from the ruins I want to swim in the ocean for a while" Grace comes back with all the excitement that a 5yo can muster "DAD, your lucky! There's an ocean RIGHT THERE!", and points out the car window to the Carribeean.....

2nd - I know this is horrible as I am her mom, but believe me, if there was anyone that was going to get stung by a jellyfish ten minutes into the snorkeling excursion it would be my Gracie. The picture I have in my mind of her screaming "I just want to go back to the Cruise Ship" is priceless. Sorry to those of you who had to be on the tour with her!

Good Afternoon, Everyone!!

Sad to say we are back in Massachusetts!! When we got in dh's truck this morning for the drive to get bagels, the outside temps read 37!! I want to get back on that ship!!!!!

I had a great time meeting everyone this past week! I really enjoyed chatting with everyone. I tend to be a bit long winded myself (remember chatting in the line to the dessert buffet Jennifer? ), but I was really glad to know so many people on board!! Made our first cruise that much better!

We are already trying to figure out when to take our next cruise. We didn't book on board only because when we received the quote for next year my eyes almost fell out of my head when I saw the price. Even with all the "extras" it just wasn't a good enough deal. We are going to try our luck on our own and see what we can come up with.

Thanks, everyone, for making our first cruise such a great one! Hopefully we can bump into you all again on another cruise or in either WDW or DL!!

Well I am off to try to regroup. I got a nasty bug on the boat that I still can't shake. I missed the ruins tour because of it! Jeff and Sally- I am sure you heard me hacking my brains out the whole flight home!! Figures, I haven't been sick in about 2 years and then I get sick on vacation!! At least I could be feeling stinky in beautiful weather!!

Hi Everyone!!!
Well it sure does stink to be home! I did not want to leave that ship!! I am really sorry that I didn't get the chance to meet more of you!! We had 2 sick children! One with an ear infection and one was quarrantined for 2 days so that really made for a non-social cruise!! We ended up spending more time in the room than we really wanted to! But we made the best of it!! I do apologize for not getting to meet more of you! We did rebook onboard for Dec.07 and then might switch to Feb.08! But that seems way too far away!! I really dont think I can wait that long before we go again! Its really hard to look out my window and see snow instead of that beautiful blue water!! My 3yo woke up this morning and the first thing he said was that he wanted to back on the boat!! And I told him ME TOO!!!
