February 21, 2009 Magic Western Caribean

I haven't been on in awhile, but am sad to say that I don't think we are going to get to go after all....thank goodness for trip insurance. My sister, who was coming with us, was in a horrible bicycle accident and had some head trauma, along with a broken spine, and some other broken bones. She is still trying to wake up.....Please pray for her. Maybe we will get to meet some of you on a later cruise.....bye for now

Marci

Best Wishes Marci you and your family are in our thoughts

Hi everyone! We're new to the group and counting down the days!

welcome aboard. it wont be long. have you read through all the previous post yet? its a good way to get caught up.

i sent out more google invites this am. sorry for the short delay. i'm feeling the crunch of trying to fit in 2 1/2 weeks of vacation time into the remaining work days.

again this year the oscars have coincided with our disney cruise. in previous years there has been an oscar party in the promenade lounge. all the tvs, including the big screen, have the oscars tuned in. you are able to fill out a ballot, and the winner gets a prize, like a spa treatment. the activites staff are all dressed in formal wear and, as usual, do a great job at keeping everyone involved. i'm pulling for "milk."

We have 2 kids (ages 1 and 3), and our closest theatre is 2 h 15 min away - the only movie on the entire list that we have seen is WALL-E!!

Does the fact that we have watched it about 1,000 times since December count for anything? :rotfl:

Go WALL-E!! :cheer2: ;)

PS If Disney films win any awards while we are on the cruise, do you think we will get some kind of celebratory discount or something? :confused3 :lmao:

I dragged Dopey to "Bride Wars" Last Saturday. He didn't want to go but once he got there he really enjoyed it. He said that it was funny but he would never admit that! lol:rotfl2:

It's getting soooooooooo close to vacation! Can't wait to get away from this snow!

I was totally uninterested in any of the Batman films... then the other day I saw Dark Knight on sale for 9€ and thought....ok...will try it out. WOW... it was incredible! A rollercoaster ride from start to finish!

YEAH!!! on a vacation note we got an email confirming our Business Class seats for the flight over and back...WOO HOO!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

how long does it take to get here? we're going to germany in may and dw is already fussing over the flight. in the states "business class" is secret code for "free cocktails." same idea for international flight?

c'mon cruise docs, c'mon!!

From DTW to Germany I'd say about 8 hours over and 10 hours back. It takes longer to come home, because you're flying against the jetstream.

and i'm guessing no magical rest stop in the sky where you can disembark the plane and stretch your legs?

HA... right you are Pluto... 10 hours over to the US, 9 back.

Business Class internationally means a BED! All the anything you can drink, pretty decent food, and an entertainment system with tons of movies and shows. No other way to go...and to be honest, if I check a flight and it looks like I have to fly Eco... NO GO!

Ahoy Fellow Cruisers~

Will and I are sailing with you on the 02/21 WC voyage. Our last sailing was in September 2006, ironically, on the same itinerary. We chose this date because friends who we met on that voyage were already booked on the 02/21 voyage.

Our favorite place to retire each evening is Sessions and if this voyage is anything like the last one, we'll probably have quite a large group of people along with us the further into the voyage we get.

Sea you real soon,
David :rainbow:
