February 2014

Josh at easywdw said they should come out tomorrow. :cool1::cheer2:

Great! Thanks so much for info Valgoof - trying to figure out ADR's and want to figure out best days to go where :goodvibes Where on Josh's site can I find the link the calendar?

My family (DD13, DS16, DH*4 & Myself*1) will be heading down Feb. 6-12. We will be staying at the Beach Club with our best friends. this will be our first time at this resort...so excited hope we can swim at least one day....
Does anyone know what the crowd levels are like? We are pulling the kids out of school with the hopes of lower crowd levels but we head back 2 days before Febuary break so they can get thier makeup work and have the break to get it done. Hopefully it all works out like I have it planned in my head....:scratchin

Welcome! I added you to our list. Going with friends should be a lot of fun,

We will be there for our very first trip on Feb 26 until March 5th. I'm so excited!!!!

Woo hoo a first trip! Welcome to our group, I added you to the list. Let me know when you know where you are staying and I will update your info.

Hi - Just wondering if anyone has found the park hours for Feb? Or - if folks know when they usually release this? Thanks!

I haven't check today so I can't answer your question. but I just wanted to say hi, Do you know your dates yet? When you do let me know and I will update the list,

I keep checking but havent seen them yet today. :( Josh will post them on the main page when he gets them. On the right hand side is the list of monthly calendars. I keep clicking on Feb 2013 and then going to the park hours link to see if 2014 is up yet.

:cool1:Woo Hoo! :cool1:February 2014 here we come!

My son's high school band will be marching at WDW and so we will be tagging along! I can't wait! :cool1:I have been dreaming about returning to WDW and now I get to have lots of fun of actually planning a real trip instead of just an imaginary one! We will be traveling the week before President's Day. Not my ideal week to go since I expect the crowds to be big :sad2:but at least we are going!!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My very first Disney experience was when my marching band went to Tokyo Disneyland for their 5th anniversary celebration!

January 31-February 9th are actually our backup dates, if we cannot get POR AB with FD for November 15-24th dates. We are a family of 5 and so need those rooms as AoA will not work (too much sensory stimulation for my autism spectrum son) for us. Hoping for some pixie dust for either of those dates! There are advantages to both times so I'm fine with it either way...we just need a discount!

Hi all! Just dropped in to say we are officially booked! I just got off the phone with Disney :)

Being my very first time at WDW, I was nervous about calling - had visions of being on hold forever. It was a quick, smooth process though and I am so, so happy!!

My family of 5 is officially now staying at POR Feb 17-21. I used our "play, stay & dine" pin code that was emailed to me and got the room, park tix, dining, and travel insurance for the price I had mapped out for room and tix ONLY. Woohoo!!

The person on the phone "noted" that it will be my twins' birthday trip. Does anyone know what that means? Will Disney do anything special for them??

Congrats on your first successful booking!

Your twins should get Happy Birthday pins when you check in. If you don't...ask! When they wear them, they will certainly be given well wishes by most every Cast Member they pass that day. (Get them ready for lots of "thank you"s. You might also happen upon free cupcakes at your meals!

Have fun continuing to plan!

Okay...so no February park hours yet. For someone that relies heavily on a crowd calendar this is not looking good for me to plan my days before making ADR's. Especially since I'll be eating at two TS restaurants a day. :worried:

mdsouth - my dates have changed! I'll be at POFQ from February 1st-7th.

Hi everyone!

It will be our first time, with me, DH and DD4 (soon to be 5). I'm so nervous, but excited too - I've been reading everything I can on the subject.

So far we're going to be at AoA Little Mermaid (my daughter is nuts for Little Mermaid) and deluxe dining. Planning on doing a ton of ADRs with character meals (breakfasts and dinners).

I do have one question (it may have been answered already but I'm only at page 5) - has anyone rented a car at Disney and how would you compare it to the bus system? I'm wondering if it's worth the extra $$$ to rent a car and not worry about making ADRs on time (plus facilitate afternoon breaks).

And - how do I subscribe to this thread? :)

Oh yes, one last question - we're from Canada so when some of you describe the weather as "freezing", is it freezing by Canadian standards too? It gets pretty darned cold (especially with humidity) here. :) Trying to figure out what to pack (but we will definitely have winter coats because we still have to get to our Canadian airport in the middle of winter (and hopefully not a blizzard!!)

Welcome! :wave2: Always nice to see a fellow Canadian on here! :goodvibes I don't have an answer for your car vs. bus question, but here's how you subscribe to threads: (you have to be logged in)
-at the top of the thread, right underneath the list of page numbers, is a button called "thread tools" - if you click it, one of the options that comes up will be "subscribe to this thread" and then you can pick whether or not you want to receive email updates from the thread. HTH! :)

Yay to Canadians!

We are from northern Ontario (the big empty space between Thunder Bay and Winnipeg) and we are driving down on an epic family roadtrip. We will be on the road for three weeks total, eleven days staying at the Fort :) And on the way there and back visiting a lot of places we have always wanted to go to including five days in New Orleans including Valentines Day! We will be there February 2-12.

My ADR window opens Aug 6 and I am losing my mind that the operating calendar isnt up yet!

Me and hubbie are travelling with (then) our 2, 14 and 16 year old daughters. If you see a curly haired girlie huddled up in the washroom wearing pjys with a bottle of wine rocking back and forth that will be me.

If we drove straight it would be a 36 hour drive from here. We arent that brave!

I just wanted to let you know I added you to our list! Welcome to our group! :yay: It sounds like an ideal time to visit for your first family trip! It will be lots of fun watching your DD interact with the characters and see her expressions on the rides.
