February, 2011 ~ Who's with me??

Feb. 9th - 16th here! DBF & I will be staying at POP for both of our first trips!

I booked yesterday. 2/1-2/11 at Bay Lake Tower one bedroom. I have my fingers crossed for a nice promotion or code.

I'm one of those weirdos who hopes it IS cold!! Can't stand the heat... it drains the will to live right out of me, lol. I don't know how people go to WDW in the summer -- I honestly don't think I could do it even if they gave me a free trip.

And the way I look at it, you can always throw on another layer if it's chilly out... so bring on the cold February, lol.

My DD and her boyfriend are running as a team in the Princess Half Marathon so we are going down to cheer them on!

I have 3 rooms reserved at SOG ~ can't wait!

Yay the first person that I have seen that is running in the 1/2 marathon. I am also going down to do that, and my husband, who is my running buddy, may run with me as well. Since the race benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma society, I will be running in honor of my mom who is 4 years in remission from AML

Well, I'm headed there on my first trip with my family! I've MYSELF have been to Walt Disney World countless times, but this will be my wife and daughter's first time going! We're ALL excited! We should be there from February 4-13, 2011. I'm hoping these cheerleading competitions don't impede on our ASMusic stay!

Just thought I would pop in and say hi. I have a room booked for Nov-Dec. Monster pin 40% off, but now am thinking of goig in February for a few reasons. DH tends to get laid off Jan/Feb ish (he works construction) so I'd hate for him to lose a week of pay when he should in theory, still be working. Also this is the first holiday since I lost my mom We went to WDW for my only WDW Christmas when I was a kid, and now since both my parents are gone, going back might make me sad instead of happy. And even if I put on my game face I am afraid DH would know I was sad and feel bad too.

But enough sad... how about a QOTD in here....

The ride I'm looking forward to most is by far, Mission: Space!!!! I would be happy to just alternate between that and Soarin' all day...

You know, I've never been on Soarin', but want to try it this time.

So I may be crazy but I love It's a Small World. It is the quintessential Disney experience for me. And maybe I love how crazy the song makes DH

We'll be there! I'm getting married at WDW on February 12th.. my family will be a 2BD Villa at BLT the 9th-15th, and DF+I will be at the GF the 12-14th

...I'm most looking forward to is Toy Story Mania. This is our first trip with our three year-old son, who like small children across the land this summer, has fallen head over heels in LOVE with Toy Story! Can't wait to see the look on his face when we're in line for that one. My husband and I were completely enthralled by it last winter and I don't think we had even seen TS1 yet!

Personally, I can't wait to get on BTMR. Has always been my favorite, will always be my favorite!

MamaJessie...so sorry about the loss of your Mom. That's got to be so terribly hard. I hope that one day, in the future, you will be able to go to Disney at Christmas and just embrace the happy times. I wouldn't be ready yet, if I were you, but I do hope that someday that will be possible

As for a ride... I think I'm most looking forward to Spaceship Earth because my son LOVES it!! He will be so excited to go on it again and to have his Daddy go on it with him. I have no idea if he'll be able to ride Mission Space (the easier version) but if so, I think he will love that, too. He is a science fanatic and knows just about all there is to know about astronomy and the Universe. Pretty cool!

Have any of you taken kids on mission space, and if so, what ages and what did they think?

I, personally, love Pirates of the Carribbean. Total nostalgia for me...

We'll be there Feb 6-11, celebrating our granddaughter Kate's third birthday. We're staying at BLT. It's Kate's first trip and Gramma and Papa are really excited!
