Are the cheerleaders there feb 5 -7 or march 5-7?

feb 5-7.

We're going to be at POP Jan 31-Feb 6th. What kind of impact does anyone think it will have on us?

Probably none. Unless you were going to DHS on the 6th.

this is my TOTALLY novice thought on conventions and crowds

Since Orlando is a convention hot spot there is ALWAYS some type of gathering going on. Every time we have gone there has been a group of something, be it runners (adult - for dis marathons etc and high school track teams), dancers, cheerleaders and more than I can mention. So I never really include it as "ADDING" to park attendance but something that is already in the expected crowd level for any given day. thoughts???

I think you're right. However, because the Cheerleaders compete at DHS, it does have an impact on that particular park. The big 3, TSM, RnRC and ToT are the most impacted. When we arrived at the park at 9:30am the stand by at rocknroller coaster was already 60 minutes.

How do you guys feel about arriving at DS on Feb 5th for EMH rope drop, riding TSM, then going to see some of the kid shows (Beauty & the Beast, Mermaid...). We have never been able to do TSM due to young children & wait times...We have 9 more days to do the big kid rides...I am thinking besides TSM many things we like to do would not be what cheerleaders want to do.
Thoughts on this plan?

I agree. We are keeping DHS for sunday..we dont park hop its the only day for fantasmic when we are there and ADR's are all set. We shall see.
Jordan: TR is awesome! Its like the twilight book series, I CANT PUT IT DOWN, PAGE AFTER PAGE. Its hysterical and brings back great memories. Its like I'm there now! pics are beautiful!

Got to get back to day 6 and the "meltdown". Wait, maybe I should throw in a load of laundry and get a little work done around here before I have lost the whole day!

I don't think the crowds effect that much. This is my 3rd year going at the time and each time its been fine.

Can't wait!

That being said, I'm also going to be at Hollywood Studios that Sunday and meh.

Like others have said, because they are competing or getting ready to compete, it may not and has not been too bad in the past. I wouldn't be overly concerned.

It's more of a heads up just so if it does happen to be crowded, you won't be caught off guard.

You are going to have a great time! I hope to run into you. If you stop by my PTR, you can see what I look like!

we saw that one last year!!! Loved it ~ a few technical difficulties so mickey didnt "fly" as was advertised, but still a great show!!!!
