Codes are either specials located on the DisneyWorld website or Disney will email them directly to you.

You register on at www.disneyworld.com and cross your fingers. The mailing of codes is completely random. I've been registered for 3 years and just got my first code last month.

i will be there in Feb of next year too. How far in advance do these codes come out? Do you book a ressie with rack rates and if you get a code then just apply it? Is that how it works?

Count us in! I've never received a PIN code. I suppose it's because we've gone every year for the last 10 years. I suppose I'm happy enough with the AP rates.

That's how I do it

I'd say codes come out sparadically. Once I received a mailing that was good for different times throughout the whole year. If you go to Mousesavers.com she has a page with the history of code releases and what the codes were (now these were public codes, not email or snail mail codes).
