OK, folks!!!!!! I called and they didn't have anything at the WL (where I was already booked), but they moved me to a studio villa for $182.00 less and upgraded the passes to include H20 parks and D Quest. Did I do the right thing by moving to the villa??!!!!!!!!! I hope so!! I am so excited.

I didn't realize that Disney Quest was included. If it is my DS is going to be a very happy little man.

My BIL got a pin code! grrr..... he is single and lives with my MIL-she is excited b/c they may not have gone-now they are looking like going. I am happy for them- but WHY, of WHY did they get one and not us-BIL went about 5 years ago, or more-MIL went 25 years ago last!

DH and I will only be concerned how trip plans may change -they are going to want to tail us the whole time! BUT THAT is why I am going for so long this time-so we have extra time there if we need to CHILL.

We won't change our schedule though!

Hi everyone! I've been lurking on your thread for some time wishin' I could be driving down to WDW for Mardi Gras week. I mentioned to my DH the package coming out for Disney Visa holders and he kinda let it go in one ear and out the other. BUT, he called me this morning wanting more info about it. He got to talking to someone that just got back and I think he caught the bug. I've always got the bug cuz I'm always on DIS!!!

Anywho, I just booked Feb. 3-8 at POP!!! I called and had a great CM and used the code! We didn't actually decide "together" that we would definitely be going but hey it doesn't hurt to put a deposit down; does it?
I mean I can always cancel it if it turns out we can't go. Yeah, right!!!!!

I'll be booking ADR's tomorrow for sure.

I actually got a PIN code in the mail today. I have my package booked through AAA, but I'm going to call and see what type of deal I can get with this PIN. I'm hoping it's a better deal!


So I called Disney and got a quote using the PIN code...and it turns out it is $180.10 CHEAPER than my AAA price!! So I just put a call into my AAA agent to see if I can apply the PIN to my package...if not, the CM from Disney held the package with the PIN so that I can use that.

My ever so wonderful sister (who doesn't even have a disney visa) called me at work today to let me know that the disney visa code was out! I can't do anything personal on the computers at work so I would have had to wait until this afternoon to find out. Anyway, called dw on a 2 min. break this morning and used the code. I didn't have park hoppers so I didn't see a tremendous saving, but the fact that I had to switch to a standard room and the slight room reduction saved me $173 and now I can park hop too!
The cast member asked if he could do anything else for me and I told him "Not unless you can sell me some P&P party tickets!" No such luck yet.

Just an FYI - If you called this morning and were told it was sold out, try calling again. My friend is going 1st week of FEB, staying at ASMovies. Her hubby called this morning to apply the code and was told it was sold out. She tried this afternoon and she got the discount. It's always worth a 2nd call...you can't lose anything.

I'm going end of JAN, for 6 days/7 nights - saved almost $300!

what does that mean for us....
what are the deals for Canadians? Also, are the resorts going to be sold out bc of the Visa discounts/Canadian discount/PIN codes or do they keep some blocked off?

*** Just as a side note, with the discounts that have already been released - I agree with the other OPs - it looks like the discount for us will be the same as the last few years. Free Hoppers, waterparks, etc.... with a small room rate reduction. IF this is the case, it's not better than my AAA rate - since I already purchased hoppers anyway - so I'll stick with my AAA package!

I forgot..I was quoted the preferred view with AAA and standard with the code. Then, AAA agent was told (by CM) that she could not convert my ressie...it was not allowed..

Also, I found out that I have a room only code attached to my name..but the CM said the only way I could find out the rate was to call back and check a room only ressie. I am now more confused..why couldn't she just do it then. Can my AAA agent check it? I have gotten so many different replies regarding reservation stuff. Going on vacation should not have to be this hard.

Does anyone know if these codes worked on ASMu suites? We have a MYW package booked in a suite right now with 4 days worth of parkhoppers, no water parks. Would this just bump our parkhopper prices back down to regular ticket prices? Is there any extra discount on the food with the dining pack?

EDIT NOTE: I just checked mousesavers and it seems the dining stuff is still regular price, but the tickets are discounted.

I got in contact with my AAA agent this morning and she was able to apply the PIN code to my existing AAA reservation, and it saved me even more money! So it's $254 cheaper than my original AAA reservation! YAY!

The CM held a reservation for me with the PIN that I gave her, and when I looked it up online it said the same thing for ticket type...ERROR.

I'm not sure what's up with this!

We are going the last week of Feb (peak season), and the Visa code was a bit better for us than the AAA rate, even if you disregard the free ticket upgrades. It looks like the Visa code discount on the room is 15% and the AAA discount during peak season is only 10% (at least on moderates). We had a std room at CS, 8 day tickets and basic dining. Just looking at the room part, the Visa code ended up being $50 less than the AAA rate we had (which was $150 less than rack rate). Plus we get the PH and water parks and more which we wouldn't have otherwise gotten (another $300 "savings").

Whew! That was the last piece of the planning I was worrying about (for now at least). Although I may still change some ADRs . . . .

1/1/08 - 1/17/08
1/21/08 - 2/13/08
2/18/08 - 3/15/08

My travel dates are 2/12/08 through 2/19/08.

Does this mean I am out of luck? I am thinking yes, but I just want someone to confirm it!!

I was able to use the VISA code for our stay 2/15 - 2/18...so call the very minute you find out there is a new code for the general public.

I'm getting the same on my reservation. Glad that it isn't just mine and maybe just some system thing.
