I just booked our room! Thanks to Wendypooh's great advice, I have booked our room only, and then will wait to see package prices and hope for the same MYW package that we booked two years ago! Of course, I'll still be hoping for some AMAZING PIN CODE that gives me some super huge discount, BUT...I won't hold my breath for that part!

Even though we already booked our flights a few weeks ago, something about booking the room just makes it SO much more real!

Congrats!!!!! Now if those rates would just come out!!!

I am getting all my last details together and will be making my room only reservation next week. I can start my ADR's on July 29th, I can't hardly wait.

Maybe, just maybe a code will come out next week, but from what I've been hearing, it probably won't be until Mid - late August. Has anyone called in today to see what the CM's are saying ??

Keeping my fingers crossed.......

Discount code for our time of travel will probably be out around Oct/Nov. December codes havent even come out yet.

I just got off the phone w/CR regarding our vacation for next February as we'll be there 2/9 - 2/15. Her comment regarding packages would be that something should be out mid August to late August. Who knows who is right. She suggested not calling to change my room only reservation to a package until the end of September or October due to all of the phone calls they'll be receiving and the length of wait time on the phone. I don't know if I'll have that much patience though. Anyway, here's to February coming SOON!!!!!

No kidding! I am curious how much of a jump in price the 2008 rates will be - here's hoping to not too much!!

Lori1043 - yes, miles! That was (luckily) what made DH agree to booking so early! It was SUCH a pain, too. We only had enough miles for me and DH, but not MIL and DD. The online system didn't understand why we didn't want to upgrade to first class, and we couldn't figure out how to tell it because we didn't want to pay first class for our MIL and DD!!! We would have left 'em back in coach, but MIL isn't flying back with us and it just didn't seem right to leave DD back in coach by herself!

KJBrown- that is so nice of you!! How old is your DD?? too funny! My DH has enough miles for 1 ticket right now, so we are planning on driving unless we get a DING! deal from SW. i may have to use that one flight for CEU's for my job. I need like 20 more b/f the end of the year!

My DD is only 3 1/2 so I'm guessing we'd get some looks if we left her in coach alone!

OMG, I am so ready to go to Disney World. We have booked our room only and are just waiting for the new rates to come out. As of Aug 13 we can start making our ADR's for our trip. I just need to know what parks have the Extra Magic Hours before I book our dinner ressies. Hopefully they will post them soon.....

I'm also ready for those rates to come out.

The park hours and EMH's should be out on August 1st. They seem to consistently release the hours 6 months ahead of time on the 1st of each month.

January 2008's hours and EMH's were released on July 1st....so, February 2008's hours and EMH's should be out on August 1st.

August should be a pretty busy month for this thread as most of the 180 day windows for dining will occur as well as the park hours being released and we should have the new 2008 rates before or during August at the latest.

Can I make them for our entire trip at that time or do I have to wait 180 days for each day ahead??

We have decided on doing 2 character breakfasts... Chef Mickeys and Cape May, are they good choices???

We have done breakfast and dinner at Chef Mickey's. It's wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. You'll get a lot of character time. We have not done Cape May... can't wait to hear what others say about it.

shouldn't -book now if you are not doing a package. OR Unsure if you can book packages until rates are out. We always book seperately.
