February 20, 2011 DREAM

Sorry tried to edit last post but it wouldn't let me. Julia you back? Looks like you had fun from your fb pictures.

yeah, my dad and I are back, we actually got to meet someone who will be on this cruise while we were there:goodvibes

Fun! Back to reality huh? We always mope around when we come back from a trip for about a week - lol.

If I was coming back from a cruise I would be moping around, when I only go to Disney World, I don't really mope around after. I find cruises much better:lmao::cool1:. Then again I know I will be seeing Disney again at end of January so that might help:goodvibes

Loving all the new pictures up on the boards of the Disney Dream! It looks so beautiful! I can't wait to explore it for myself!!!!

Spent some time today "crafting" up some passport style invites for our VR on our Naussau day - but I have NO idea where the ceremony will be held. When we booked, the wedding planner was unsure where the outside "secret" deck would be on the dream. I have skimmed the threads suggesting what window is what - but haven't read about a "secret deck" like deck 7 on the Magic and Wonder... Anyone have any ideas? :confused3:confused3:confused3

Also picked up some cute items for the FE! Printed out my list a couple of days ago to see how many more items I neede to buy. Is it okay to bring candy on board? And how??? I was going to pack some of these FE "treats" in my checked luggage. Is that allowed????

Anyways - watching Toy Story 3 with the kiddos on this cold rainy New England afternoon... Hope it is warmer where you are!!!

We are definitely still up for the Fish Extender! I just ordered ours last week from gradysmommy on ebay so can't wait to see it. I've also been racking up on little "treats" for all of you! I have had so much fun watching the progress on the Dream. CANNOT WAIT!!!:woohoo: I still can't book anything until Dec 7 so hopefully there will still be a chance at Palo and a spot for a spa treatment!

Hi to all. Deanna - there s/b some reses on board on the first day if for some reason you can't get a rese. I was kind of thinking the same thing d/t only being a Silver Castaway Club Member. I need to get a FE too. Thanks for the heads up. How much was yours?

Anyone running in the princess 1/2 on Sunday after the Dream? I have just started running again this fall and I am signed up for the Royal Family 5k on Saturday. Anyone want to join me?

I was thinking of running. I have been taking the "Insanity" class at the local dojo to get in shape. I originally wanted to do the half. I did it in 2008. The kids and I also did the fun run. It was great but it draws lots of people. You need to go to wide world of sports a day or so ahead to check in and the lines for the Jan races took quite some time. As far as the princess, problem is it is close to the time Disney will want us to leave resort to go home.http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/sad20.gif They changed the dates for the race after we booked our flights. Are you signed up already? They really do put on a great race. Mickey is there to cheer you on and he stays at the end. Are you staying in a host hotel? If not they may not have transportation to the start? Good luck. How is the training going?

Thanks! I guess I'll find out in 31 days whether I can get an advanced ressie or not! I won't give up. Although I don't really even know what I want...I think brunch. But I'm not picky. I would just like to experience as much of it as I can. I ordered the 3 pocket fish extender and it was $30. I was thinking I would try to make one, but decided for that price, I may as well just have it made "properly" (I'm not a great seamstress) and put more focus into the trinkets!

I was thinking I would like to do the Princess but then it occurred to me that with all I will be eating, I likely will have to be rolled off the ship. So it will have to wait for another year :lmao: ! 99 days until we head to WDW!!!

Morning Everyone!!

I feel I need to reintroduce myself, it's been so long since I visited here! Our cast of characters is just me (Debbie, 50) and DH (Ed, 56). No kids this trip :teeth: We are doing a B2B, and this is the first leg. Sooooo looking forward to a double dip at Castaway...not so much the double dip at Nassau. But we wanted to see the new ship, new shows, new stuff!!! We will be driving down from Delaware.

I've been looking into excursions, and trying to make plans. I am the cruise director in my house, and DH pretty much lets me run with it. We are 13 days out from making ressies online with DCL...

Right now I'm checking out the America's Cup Racing Yaghts to see if they will be up and running, and Powerboat Adventures for one day in Nassau, and the second time going to "Fish Fry" and a walking tour of Nassau...

When is the cutoff for the FE? I'm still on the fence about joining since it's just us...

I am signed up for the 5k on Saturday but leaving on Sunday - which is the day for the 1/2 marathon. I am not sure I am ready for a 1/2 marathon anyway and am thinking about returning for a 1/2 marathon - LOL - like I need an excuse. :lmao: I am really nervous - 1st race!

Training is going I think well- have devised my own program. I have a reservoir that is .99 miles around and now I am up to 4 laps running and then I walk 1 or 2 for a cool down. I alternate with the gym - circuit training- but lately have just been running every day because its funner (if you could call it that - lol) and I know its going to snow soon.

We are staying at Kidani after the Dream and it is a "host" hotel.

Deanna,
My DH loves the Brunch -fyi. Thanks for the FE info - I'm in the same boat not much of a "seamstress".

I know - I probably will be eating a ton as well but I have lost 15 lbs and need a goal to help me lose more and keep it off.

Can't wait to go!

:woohoo: Yahoo!! Cruise is paid so now it seems real!!! :woohoo:

I confess, I've been a lurker these past few months not wanting to join in until I knew for certain things were lining up for us to be on this cruise.

Now that the weather has turned rather dismal here in New Hampshire- having a cruise to look forward to will certainly get me through the early winter!

That said- let me introduce myself....I'm Liz :wave:and I'll be traveling with my almost 14 year old daughter, Wyeth princess:. Hubby is not a Disney fan (gasp!) but he graciously lets us have a periodic girls trip to the World.

This is will be our second cruise...the first was a 4-day Wonder in 2009...same week in Feb. We'll be staying at the CBR before and after the cruise for a few days. We loved the FE fun on our first cruise and are game to do it again with all of you. (I saw the sign up on the first page- thanks for being so organized).

Anyway- psyched to be on the cruise with you all and I'll no longer be a lurker! :goodvibes

Welcome to the thread:wave2: We are from NH too!! Although I cannot complain too much about the dismal weather since we leave tomorrow for Florida and my birthday cruise aboard the Disney Magic:cool1::cool1:
