We just booked our first Disney Cruise. Have cruised many times before,but first with Disney. My husband and I are excited to be taking our little boy who will celebrate his 4th birthday. We would love to do fe. Is it too late to join in?

I swear I was a member of DISboards before this, but apparently I was wrong! Hi! I'm J'aimie! My cousin explicitly sent me to this forum to meet my cruise mates and help be a part of the Fish Extender, which I am eager to learn more about!

This cruise will be a very, very important trip for us: It's our honeymoon!! My fiance and I will be getting married this October, but our honeymoon won't be till February '14 -- we'll start on the Dream, then head to the resort. We're having a Tangled themed wedding (complete with tower, lanterns and tiara!) so there isn't any more appropriate place to celebrate our honeymoon than at Disney!

I grew up outside Anaheim and travel to WDW 3-4 times a year. Disney's in my blood, and I can't wait to have this amazing, special trip with the Prince and make some new friends along the way, too! What a great idea to get to know everyone in advance!

Is there any way to know what the dining rotation is? My husband and I want to plan a nice dinner just for us, but we don't want our girls to miss the Animators Palate

I wanted to make sure my granddaughter celebrated her birthday in Royal Palace at the beginning of the cruise. I called DCL, explained what I wanted, and gave them my information.

They were very helpful and made several suggestions. There are 3 dining rotations. The one I chose has Animators Palate the last 2 nites of cruise.
I believe the 1st dining rotation starts off with Animators Palate.

I'm so excited about my fish extender. I've almost got it finished, but I wanted to share what it looks like

I still need to add my Mickey to the top (once I get more color ink for my printer) and attach the dowel and ribbon to hang it.

We have GTY for room assignment. Does anyone have experience on when they got their assignment? Our fiends booked same time we did and they have gotten their assignment. Read it may actually be day of sailing, we have signed up for fe and want to participate, just worried we won't be able to tell everyone cabin#.Thanks

20 adults and 11 kids in the fish extender group? This seems manageable to me, but I will keep watching. I so want to join, but this is my first cruise.

Like I said on that thread, our daughter made a couple of great friends by talking before the cruise. Then on the ship they were constantly on the phone planning their next adventure.

We debated about doing the FE on this cruise. On our first one we did feel a little overwhelmed. And we waited a little late to start making things!!

But it really added something to the trip. If you can manage it, I really recommend trying it.

Your FE looks great! Did you use a specific pattern? I've seen many listings on Etsy for FE hangers, but I consider myself fairly crafty, so I might give it a go on my own. What measurements did you use?

Also, general question for the group - I've never done a FE before, but is there a point when we cap the number of people in one FE and perhaps create another? Our wedding is in a little over a month (OMG) and I can't even THINK about FE gifts till after that. I want to be sure I have enough time to create something special for everyone, and I worry about the number growing!

Melissa & I decided that Elyssa should be the only one participation in the FE.
I've got the basic pattern down.....it's definitely going to be a Princess FE. She'll be so excited.

I found some tutorials on pinterest, but each was different, so I kinda took a little from each and made it my own. Finished, it's 32 inches long and 9 inches wide. Each of the pockets is 6 inches deep, and I cut them to 11 inches wide and put in a 2 pleats at the bottom so that they pull open easily for FEs. Feel free to pm me and I'll explain how I did the princess dresses for each
