Still no docs....

Only one more week to go until we leave.

And tomorrow is our "day off" for our 9/80 schedule. I'm going to make my fish extender. Wish me luck!!

I also need to start laying out everyone's clothes and get out the suitcases. (that will stress out the dog ) I;m sure my kids will tell me all of the wonderful summer items they need....next Wednesday or Thursday night.

But I"m not letting anyone rain on my happy attitude.

i called them and told them my parents havent got their documents yet so they looked it up and they said somehow they forgot to mail it.so they are going to send it out tonight overnight.still problay wont get them since they leave for wdw on monday. so give them a call. they said you dont need them to board it just makes it easier. i went through dvc for the cruise

We still have not received our official docs either. Just the letter from DCV that was wrong...

The rest of our party that we used our points for received their docs on tuesday, they live 20 minutes from us... who knows...

8 days and counting!!!!

Hey Princess...we'll have to put together a plan to smuggle you on to the ship if you get to the port and DVC really did screw up.

I've been a DVC member for less than a year and I've been underwhelmed with Member Services. I really had a hard time writing that check for dues when my planner has not yet arrived and neither has my cruise documents. But I really liked SSR when we stayed in Sept and the CMs there were really wonderful.

Pluto - we must have been in the same position as your parents. DCL said that my documents were mailed yesterday (Thursday) overnight and I did get them today. Yeah!

The count down is on...I am getting so excited to leave on my first DC in one week...so much to still do to get ready....

Did you sign up for our Yahoo group? We have a list of DIS cruisers, kids and their ages. Seems like several of the kids are 4 but only saw one 3 yo.

Will your son be able to go to the Oceaneer's Club? He needs to be potty trained and able to use the restroom unassisted. The counselors are great about making the kids feel welcome.

A fish extender is a multi-pocket hanging thing that allows people to place items in it for exchange. This hanging thing hangs from the silver fish that is located next to each cabin door. DCL uses the fish to deliver messages to the cabin. We have a DIS tag event going on with the group but it may be too late to join since everyone has been trying to purchase items for tag and needed to get a correct count. I know I did not explain this very well. Search on the main forum and you can find pics and descriptions.

I just saw a post a moment ago that confirms what I was told a while back.

The Cruise Director for our voyage will be Christiian. Brent is going on vacation and Rachel will be on the Wonder.

I'm looking forward to seeing Christiian again.

THANKS!!!! Its nice to know that my DIS freidns would not leave me behind!!!! The good news is that our docs FIANLLY came yesterday...AND they have the correct stateroom on them!!!!
So the last glitch is that they only have 2 of the 3 people in our stateroom listed. DBIL decided to tag along, ask me how happy I am about this, I am thinking that since he lives at a different address his will be sent seperately.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO very excited ...we sail in 6 days!!!!! I have not even started getting ready!!!

This is our first disney cruise too and I just learned what a fish extender was but now I am finding out that their is an exchange that goes on I don't know about with gifts. Please somebody help with this.

Hi Noel!

I hate to say this, but the DIS Tag participation was closed off a while ago, to give people enough time to shop and gather everything, and print off the distribution list. We already have our little goodie bags all done up and packed. I'd be happy to add your family to the list in case there are people who haven't finished all that, but I wouldn't be able to promise you would be included.

I'm really sorry!! Just let me know if you still want to be in the distribution list, just in case. I would happily put you on my own list, but I had everything carefully counted out and finalized already. :-(

Sure thing, Noel. I just need your family name (like Smith, Jones, etc.), your stateroom number, and each child's first name and age. Then I'll get the info added to the database right away.

Then for you to participate as well, you'll need to go to our Yahoo page at groups.yahoo.com/group/febcruise and print out the list of participants. Click on 'Database" on the left, then on "DIS Tag participants." Click on the "stateroom number" header to sort by that column (and make it easier to find everyone.) Then click on "printable report" below the table to print out a copy to bring with you.

Just watched the Magic sail off into the wild blue waters of the Caribbean while listening to the Shore Survival kit music. As I waved, I told the Magic that we would catch up with her when she arrived back in PC. The next time that ship is back in PC it will be waiting for us to board!!!
