Drive???....might just do that. We are scheduled to fly Friday morning and spend that day at Epcot and Beach Club.......but with this freaky weather......you never know!!

A's Princess - it is a small world. I applaud your husband's talents and still worry the bar is set too high.

I spoke earlier about the mild winter we are having. I should have known not to test the fates but we are getting it today. We got hit with back to back storms and have our fair share of snow now. We are due for 40 cm or so which is about 16 inches. ugh!

We leave a week tomorrow and can not wait. In fact if a storm comes we are ready to go a couple of days early if the airline will rebook us (they generally do in advance of a big storm). Good luck all. We will be on deck for the Sailaway party sooner than we realize.

Hi! We would love to join FE list #2. We are in the 1st list too but I have gone a little FE crazy so the more the merrier! We are in room 6132 and there is DH Joe, me (Katie) and DS James (7). Is FE list #2 kids and adults?

Katie

Glad to see some new names!!!! A little pixie dust may come your way..... I went a little crazy w/ FE gifts......picked up things here and there the past few months, forgot most of the stuff I bought of course and so now I have quite a bit!!!
You are also welcome to use my door #8592-- as well for rm# changes and/or to post if anyone else wants to send "bonus" gifts to the other list----"nikkitta28" or whoever makes the master list for Group 2--just make sure you label it for your group---- our FE Group 1-consists of 2 lists... the Mickey and Goofy groups so maybe - a cute similar one for yours!? Sorry if all sounds confusing now....
Speaking of FEs- I received the actual FE I ordered today- it is sooooooo cute!!!- kids got so excited!!
Waga-mama- my daughter will be 5 in June and would love to meet your daughter---just PM me and she'll write back- her big sis 7.5 has been writing back/forth with a few on the boards so this will make her happy to have a friend her age to write to also--- there's at least one other girl their age that we are corresponding with so they will have fun( also have a son 2.5)-- sis that is 7.5 will help them out in the clubs too- first cruise for all of us so they are nervous and excited about the clubs....

And I am sooooooo ready to drive to FL- all of us NYers should just get a bus!!!! We'll pick up the rest on the way!
Ice today was oh so fun....and I've been cking all the temps on my weather ch. App. of our island stops and it's looking good all.....70s, and 80s....I don't care if it's in the 60s.... I'll be happy in a sweatshirt as long as my toes are in the sand!!!!!!!!:cloud9:

No kidding! 60's would be lovely at the moment as we are in the negatives today! At least school's closed yesterday & today. I have not stepped foot out of my house since Tues afternoon when I got DS from school.

So excited! I just finished making the reservations for my DS and I to come down on Tuesday 2/15 instead of Friday 2/18 as originally planned. :yay: Unfortunately, DH can't get off of work so he is still on the 2/18 flight :guilty: We have been to WDW tons of times but we have never ventured off site and I think DS and I may head over to Universal to check out the Harry Potter stuff!

Can't wait!!!
Katie

I can't believe the winter you guys up North are having!! The pictures I have seen are just unreal!! :faint: Nemofans: There is no way I would be leaving my house if the wind chill was -20 either! Hope this ends for you guys soon, and that you all have no problems with traveling.

Waga-mama: My daughter Katie is 5, and she would love to email w/ your daughter before the cruise. I just told her that there was a girl 4 1/2 years old named Kate going on the cruise, and she was super excited. "Do I get to meet her? Is she really going on our Disney cruise? OK, let's send her a note," and on and on....:rotfl: Just pm me if you want and we'll email you.

Actually, anyone who has kids around the same age as mine, are welcomed to pm me if they want to write back and forth. They have really enjoyed doing it w/ a couple of other kids. My son is 7, and like I said before my daughter is 5. The ones they have written to, they mention anytime the cruise topic comes up, and they say they can't wait to meet them.

My husband is beginning to get excited too...that is when I know it is really getting close, and I had better start packing!!

goggles
floaties
AA batteries
cell phone charger cord
tiny sewing kit
small utility bag with (scissors, glue, tape, perm marker, string, safety pins, door jam)
small over the door bag for shampoo brushes and such (3 girls)
fully charged ipods with movies prior to getting on plane
wine
plenty of motrin
small beach toys
my sense of humor!

im sure we've all been there buying $8 floaties on the boat after forgetting to pack them.......

any other good ideas?

FE list #2 will be updated soon

Remed1978 - My DS is 5 & would like to talk to your DD. I will PM you.

Nikitta28 - I have been pulling things out & putting them in a pile in my closet. I haven't pulled out luggage yet, but I am itching to.

Hi Katie,

We are also flying down on the 15th... in our case, it was originally because the flight prices were so much lower, but with all this snow, I'm glad for the buffer of extra days! And the first thing my kids picked to do with the extra time was to go to Harry Potter at Universal! The second was eating dinner at Boma. :thumbsup2

we have had a change of plans....my boss didnt approve one of my days off :sad2:...soooo my hubby and kids are Driving to Florida next Friday Feb 11 and will stay at my inlaws for the week until the Cruise. I bought a 1 way Tix from Logan to Orlando on wed Feb 16 and they will meet me at the airport ( i have to work sunday and tuesday nights)

BUMMER ............

Aw Rachel that stinks - I'm always worried that I'll have to cancel a vacation until I leave. Once I'm out of the office they have to find me!

I've been working such long days - and all this ice/snow - I can barely stand the wait. The drive down to Florida will seem fun in comparison!

Wicked bummer Rachel! Well at least you will get some serious "me time" before the cruise.

Almost done packing here - needed to do something on those snow days. I am having trouble finding a clear over the door shoe holder. Everyone (on the dis boards) raves about these on the bathroom door to find stuff fast and on a 7 night cruise. I can envision all my lotions and potions multiplying in the tiny bathroom, crashing to the floor and rolling around. I did get a small organizer at marshalls but it is more for jewlery and small things not cans of hairspray - even travel size! Maybe the walmart close to the port has a shoe organizer (ours didn't :sad2:)

Previous cruisers do you think we really need to bring a power strip for charging up all the electronics? (Another popular tip on the dis boards) I am hiding the kids' DSi, not using our phones and shutting down the laptop for the week. But we will need them for the trip home. The only thing I can think we need to charge is the camera battery.

Obviously I have had too much time on my hands to worry about these details! :rolleyes1

Hi Denisees - I tried to PM you but because I am so new to the DISboards it won't let me. It says I need to have at least 10 posts...working on that. I will PM you soon with a message from my daughter to yours, or if you want to provide an email, we can email you!

I found a over the door organizer at Target. It's mesh & it's actually been helpful at home. I hung it on our laundry room door by our garage & the kids keep their hats, gloves, scarves, etc in it. It makes getting out the door easier when they can find all their gear!
