february 18,2007 wonder who's going?

yukk about the storm, we have had enough of the snow here in rochester ny. and cold. we leave out of buffalo (bought tickets months ago and it was cheaper to flly airtran out of bflo than roch) had to deal with the high pres week fares. makes sense about people who cannot access the web, we booked ours online when the window became available. and there was all of the excursions to reserve. still dragging my feet on the stateroom door decorations, keep finding things to buy, friday will be here very soon for us.

DW,DD (15) and I are VERY excited to be going on our first cruise! We are driving to FLA from NC and will stay in a local hotel Sat. and be ready on Sunday. I hope it's like this the entire trip:cool1: We are DVC members and I love Disney too much:goodvibes

see everyone in 5 days!!! WOO-HOO

so our big storm is coming tonight and tomorrow, if there is no school i may just have to stay home and finalize the packing. hope the weather improves by weeks end, hope for great temps on the cruise. :wizard:

We just had the storm in southern Michigan that you are getting now. Although we didn't have the amount of snow they are calling for in New England and New York, we had enough that made the drifts a couple of feet deep. The rest of my family going on this cruise are in western Mass. which is going to get it good today. I see Bradley (Hartford) is already closed for today. BUT, the weather in Flint, Hartford, Orlando seems to be clear for Sunday. There is only a 40% chance of snow showers for Buffalo on Sunday. I see it is going to be chilly in Orlando on Sunday (upper 50s) but back up in the upper 70s by the time we get back from the cruise. Monday in Nassau will be in the low 70s, same for Castaway Cay for Tuesday. Not extremely hot, but it will be dry. I'll take that!!!! Hang in there, only 4 more wake-ups!!:hourglass

Looks like everyone is on deck 6, we are in cabin 6124. Sorry to hear about the rough weather, hopefully it will clear out in time for your flights. The weather does look to be nice on the cruise! Have you cruised before?

Hi all! Not sure if this has been posted yet, but traffic to the Wonder may be a bit heavy on Sunday am - the first NASCAR race of the season is in Daytona on Sunday. Just fyi. Have fun, I'll be getting off the ship that am. Looks like you all will have better weather than us :)

weather here is awful, spent the day packing and tagging luggage, getting all documents in order, we go to ssr on friday so different tags now then have to put the wonder ones on when we leave the resort on sunday! have to get out tomorrow, to get any last minute items, ditched work today and tonight, oh well, gotta catch up tomorrow because i will be gone until the
25th. kinda worried about having the right clothes for the weather, we were in wdw last feb and it was cool most of the trip, had 2 days in the eighties though, also there last may, very warm days, cooler eves, was cool if we swam at night, but were there for a week last august and wow it was hot!! i am getting so excited, it is almost here.
yep we all are on deck six, i wonder if the ship will sail full?

Doubt if the ship will sail full, lots of choices still available on thier website. The weather should be ok, it'll be cool on Sat and Sunday then warmer and high 70's when we get back from the cruise. Just bring on the sunshine! It was a high of 6 today and -20 with the windchill and LOTS of snow. Flying out of Syracuse on Sat morning. The weather should be cleared up enough by then to get to FL with no problems.:yay:

Never been on a cruise ship before, let alone a Disney cruise. Of the 9 of us going, I think 8 have never cruised, but that is certainly not dampening our enthusiasm. I have talked to many cruise veterans and have been reading these DIS Boards for a while. I think the most negative thing I have been told or have read, is that I won't want the vacation to end. We have been so excited for about a year, I have a fear it will be like that proverbial holiday meal. You spend all day preparing, and it's over in 15 minutes. It looks like the weather out of Flint, MI and Hartford, CT (where my family will be flying out of) will be good for Sunday.

OK, you guys take care traveling and have a nice trip. We will start out driving Friday pm from Raleigh and stop on the way for the night. My wife wants to get some outlet shopping in so we can do that on Saturday. We hope to meet everyone on the cruise, looking forward to lotsa fun!!:wizard:

Do you have pirate wear for the dinner party?pirate:

we have pirate gear for the pirate party. i have packed and unpacked 3 times already tonight, being gone for ten days sure adds to the packing. yuk. i keep weeding out stuff that may not get used. it is supposed to be in the upper fifties tomorrow in orlando, so jeans will be what we wear down, we have an 8:00 adr for wolfgang pucks in ddd for dinner tomorrow eve. Then coral reef on saturday, we have cape may breakfast for sunday morning. i am losing my mind getting ready!! help!!!

We'll be flying out of NYC early Sunday morning for our first ever cruise! Me, hubby and two sons (13 and 14 1/2). I most certainly have a pirate costume - I love to dress up. The rest of the family will do something pretty minimal. Any other teens on board?

hi all- well we re being picked up at 11 to go to buffalo airport, sure wish we were flying out of rochester because it is so close, but had to go where the deal was. i am way overpacked, i actually cannot fit my pjs in any bag, maybe they will go in my carry on. this is crazy. sure hope weather is nice on the cruise, looks to be good, although when we arrive in orlando it is going to be cold. yuk. hope to meet all of you on the cruise, have safe trips and see you on the wonder, liz and riley. any of you dvc members, i plan on attending the dvc meet onboard.

I trust it was you who put those cute Disney character magnets on doors 6067, 6069 and 6071???!! Too cute. So, I forget to take the information as to which room you and your family were staying in. I walked around deck 6 a couple of times and saw the same magnets on a few other doors. I should have just knocked on all of them and asked for you!! How was your trip? Ours was beyond our expectations. My nephew, niece and her friend did not want to get off the ship on Thursday. The first night was a little rough for 6 of the 9 of us. They didn't make it thru dinner. Although there was some motion near the back of the ship, I think a lot of it was the fact they had been up since 3:30 am. BY the next morning everyone was rested and ready to go. The weather and seas were perfect. Don't know if I will do a trip report, but I'm thinking about it. I think folks need to meet Andy the Dolphin. He was our dolphin encounter at Nassau. Anyways, thanks so much for the magnets. They are now on my fridge at home. And I gotta tell ya, Michigan is not having Bahama weather. Another snow/ice storm for the end of the week. Oh well, at least our fantasy vacation was very real!!pirate:

yep i was the one strolling the halls looking for the dis people who were on this thread. i forgot to take mine home, we were in 6007 way at the end of the hall. i suppose they just threw them away. i have a ton of them left over, but wanted my welcome home magnet that was from dvc. we had a blast, i rebooked the same cruise next feb 17-pres week, got the discount and the shipboard credit. now just to wait a whole year. the ship was really rockin on the first night, got a little quesy in the middle of the night but that was it, my daughter is still wearing her oceaneers club wristband. wdw was great also, the weather was super, so depressing coming home to this snow. we go back july 1 to wdw for the week, sure gonna be tempted to hop on a cruise ship!!

You lucky dog!! Hind sight is always 20/20. Wish we were able to introduce ourselves. My family, who were in 6069 and 6071, wanted to know why they got the magnets. Once I explained it, they thought it was a really cool thing you did.

I know what you mean about the rockin' the first night. We had the late dinner at Parrot Cay . Of the nine of us, 6 did not make it thru dinner. More quesiness and being tired than anything else. Most of us were up since 3:30-4:00 am. By the next morning, everyone was ready to go and hungry!! From that point, everyone was fine. Perfect weather and seas. After the cruise, we stayed at the Residence Inn, Cape Canaveral and went to Sea World and Kennedy Space Center. Two great places to visit. You need just about 2 days at KSC to see everything.

I love having the seasons in Michigan, but sometimes the winters can be a pain. And probably worse for you in upstate New York. Another ice/snow storm starting tonight. Oh yaaa!!

We got some great pictures which I'm still downloading off cameras and phones!! This was definitely a trip dreams are made of. Thanks again for the magnets. Another Disney cruise is definitely in our future, just not sure when yet!!
