february 18,2007 wonder who's going?

it is our first cruise with dcl, i have however been on cruises with dh with other lines. just dd6 and i will be going on this cruise as dh cannot take vacation during winter months.

It's our first cruise for my family also. DS is 9, maybe a future penpal for jhmommy son? Loves to play hockey then baseball and soccer are second.

ok anyone else sailing with us? not long now. anyone get any upgrades on this sailing?

there's gotta be more out there on this sailing? i am getting excited

I think you had a different thread at one time for this same cruise that I responded to??? Maybe? Anyways....there are 9 of us going on this 4 day and getting very excited. I believe it is a first time cruise for 8 of us. Of the group, the youngest is 18 and there are a couple of 50-somethings. We have all our forms completed and some excursions planned. Was even able to book an on-line reservation for the Palo brunch. I check my reservations on line almost everyday for a possible upgrade because I know the cruise is not booked solid yet. But, you're right, there has to be more than a dozen of us going??

Yup, this is the time when I start getting a bit ansy. I'm in Michigan and the rest of my family (and cruise mates) are in Massachsuetts. I got the enviable task of planing this party and so I will be getting everyone's cruise documents sent to me from my travel agent. Only three weeks to go and I don't want to mess anything up. I'm sure everything will go just fine, but....

22 days! I can't believe that there is not more DISers not on this cruise!

perhaps a lot are doing the seven night (kids off for pres week), there seems to be a big thread for that cruise. i believe it is the daytona 500 the day we sail, and mardi gras is the same week, we are doing wdw before and after the cruise, i imagine it will be packed. we leave on the 16th, getting very excited, hope the weather is good, too early for 15 day outlook on accu weather.

Our first cruise DS's (6 and 4), 33 days away!:yay:
will your ds6 be going to the clubs? i am sure my dd6 will enjoy them!! my husband is unable to go because he cannot travel in the winter months because of his job. my oldest son will be flying in on the 22nd and will meet us at ssr for the rest of the trip. we have late dining, i may opt to early if we can get it on waitlist, not sure, lots of pros for doing late seating, anyone else here on the late dining?

Both our boys will be going to the clubs, they will be separated though because of their age. We are driving to my ILs on Saturday, they live in Lakeland (between Orlando and Tampa) and we are driving over Sunday am. My FIL just retired from 40+ years of practicing medicine and he is coming with us. Unfortunately, I have to be back to work on Sat, so no extra trips for us, maybe the space center on Thursday, they are also launching a rocket at 10pm on the 22nd.

It's probably a good thing we will be headed out to sea the day of the 500. When we get back into Port on Thursday, we are staying at the Residence Inn Cape Canareval for 3 nights to do some things around that part of Florida, like Kennedy Space Center and Sea World. It will be a nice feeling when we get off the ship that our vacation is not over yet!! Good points regarding why our cruise may not be filled yet. As of Friday, there were still plenty of categories still not booked......which is why I'm hoping for that magical upgrade!! Can you believe I started putting stuff together like toiletries and small items so I won't forget!! Now, if only my travel agent will call me to say the cruise documents are in!!

We chose the second seating also. We don't have to worry about younger kids who may be tired. We didn't want to feel rushed back to the ship from the shore excursions. I may be the one too tired for the second seating:):)

i have cruised before (not dcl) and always loved late dinner, my dd will prob want to be in the club so i may be going to dinner solo. i hope i have some good tablemates!! anyone here bringing pirate gear for the party? we will be.

No packing yet but tying up loose ends like signature mats for an 8x10 photo, picking up items for an emergency kit, etc.
DS6 and I decided to do the bottom fishing at CC!!!
