Christine:

Since I have two rooms reserved, I could have made those for you and then transferred them once we were on the ship. I'm sooooo excited that you were able to get it exactly the way you wanted!!!

Sue is the real hero!!!! Now I can go shopping with no worries about the cruise!

Lisa

Well my friend Mohamed worked his magic and my missing excursion is now listed under my cruise plan, I don't know how he did it but he did. I also received the following e-mail from our friend Becca:
Dear Christine,

Thank you for choosing another Disney Cruise Line Vacation!

Again, we sincerely regret the challenge you experienced when
pre-reserving services. Upon reviewing your reservation, I see that you
were successful in booking Palo Dinner and Brunch. If you require
further assistance in planning your visit, please feel free to contact
us.

We look forward to sailing with you again! Have a Magical Day!

Christine-My DS15 will be soooo jealous! He wanted to dive on the cruise, but because he's not 18, he can't unless DH or I go with him (and neither of us are certified). He just got his open water cert. this summer. DS13 is going for his junior this summer. Oh well, I guess it will give us a reason to travel to the Caribbean again. :goodvibes

Christine:

I'm glad that you were able to get EVERYTHING taken care of today! We're all doing lots better than we were just 40 hours ago!

Lisa

Sue, scuba diving is how I got my husband to cruise, he loves it, and had not gone for a while, but when he realized he could go on a cruise he was all set. I am not into it, and my kids eventually want to get certified, I told my DH all along I would do it with the kids, I guess it might be coming much sooner than expected......

Soooo...
How are everyone's plans going? Any set excursions yet? We are doing Capt. Nautica on St.Thomas, and parasailing on Castaway Cay. We will go to a beach in St.Maarten, but we still have no idea which one. We are looking for a quiet family beach with some water activities, nice facilities and not too far from the ship by taxi. The more I research, the more confused I become, LOL.

Sue:

We're doing Rumbaba Charters private daytrip to St. John (there are 2 spots left if anyone wants to come 9:30 - 3:30) and the 10:30 parasailing too.

We're also going to do a beach on our own in St. Maarten. We may go to Orient Beach -- not sure yet. We want trampolines and waverunners in the area.

Its cold as heck here right now -- we'll reach freezing temps tonight. This is most odd for us at this time of year.

I think I'll start tanning tomorrow for the cruise. I've already lost my summer tan.

Lisa

Hi everyone.
Am glad you were all able to get your reservations made. Funny thing, I had not really thought about going to Palo until I was reading all about your fun of late and how important it is too many people on the board. :teeth:

Since this is our first Disney cruise, will have to see what is available when it is time for us to make them. Which gives me time to figure out what night would be a good night, as don't want to miss anything. I have been reading trip reports to try and figure out what nights are special. I believe Sunday is formal night and Tuesday is Pirates night, Thursday is the Captains Gala, which seems to mean lobster. How exciting for us who don't live any where near seafood...

Dumb question, is there a special menu for formal night? Or is it special cause everyone has to dress up?

Pam

It was 19 degrees when I got up this morning. :cold: High today expected to bve in the 40s. I guess winter is on it's way. I just hope we have snow for Christmas.

With that low pressure center over the east coast, I'm praying that my son will be able to fly out of Washington Reagan tomorrow morning! He'll be very upset if his flight gets cancelled. He'll only be home from 10:40 tomorrow morning until 4 PM on Saturday (actually around 1PM since he has to get to the airport 2 hours early and it takes an hour to get there) and its his last time to visit before he begins his next 3 year tour of duty overseas for the Marine Corps.

It is very cold here, but absolutely gorgeous this morning, LIsa flying really should be fine it looks clear all over the Northeast.
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone......

Palo truly is a very nice dining experience, the food is excellent, I nearly think that in some ways brunch is better than dinner, but of course, you can only get the chocolate souffle at dinner.

I just "caught up" with all the Palo ressie problems you ladies were having, it was making me anxious just reading the posts :Pinkbounc I don't think I will even try to get these, it will stress me out to try and fail. Hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

Ahhhh...
I am taking a break. The house is clean, the pies are made, as is the cranberry bread. The dining room table is set. My food prep is (almost) done, and my cooking and presenting dishes are all organized. I am actually AHEAD of schedule!! I love cooking for Thanksgiving. I can't wait to smell the house tomorrow. I don't mind getting up so early to stuff and put the bird in the oven. I have a little ritual. I put the bird in and prep a few dishes. Then I sit with a cup of coffee and a huge slice of cranberry bread and reflect on all I have to be thankful for. It sets a nice tone for the day.
I remember the first year I hosted Thanksgiving. I was so stressed out and didn't enjoy it at all. It's amazing what years of experience does :goodvibes .

I'll probably be on here again tonight (God forbid I miss anything, LOL). But if not, I'd like to wish you all a happy and safe Thanksgiving, surrounded by family and friends. And for those of you crazy folks who get up early and shop on black Friday, good luck! (Those days are over for me--I'd much rather put up my Christmas decorations.)

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I'm awake early so that I could be sure my son got all checked in at the airport. He had his SSgt drive him to the airport last night instead of leaving in the wee hours of this morning. Like a true Marine, he slept in the DCA airport overnight. You know he didn't want to miss his 8:30 AM flight!

Enjoy your time with your son, Lisa. I am sure it will be hard to say goodbye. Where will he be stationed?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!

I asked him that question on the phone last night. They put in their wishlist a few weeks ago naming regions that they would like to be assigned. He said they won't find out where they are going until after the holidays and then it is still subject to change.

There are a few places that just became available because individuals were "released" from their post but it was hard to hear over cellphones what he said.

At least I know he won't be assigned to Iraq for at least the first year!!
